What about the spinning off of LE to the shareholders?
Couldn't that be construed as fraudulent conveyance if they go Chap. 11?
I asked that some time ago.
If Sears is not Chap 11 material why are some of their suppliers demanding cash only and refusing credit?...Yah is right on, bankruptcy coming.
JCP doesn't have these kind of issues. Other issues yes, suppliers demanding cash no.
I'm thinking more like $15.00 in a year or so, and guess who'll get the credit for that?
If you said, 'Marvin Ellison', you would be right!
The market was down 335 points and within an hour now down 118. jcp trades were down under 7.
And comes bouncing back up. Stop losses get triggered, and those that set them are now looking at regretting setting them. What causes swings like this, program trading? To cause swings like this makes one wonder who is doing it. JCP now up from yesterday. Buy your rollercoaster tickets early, they're on sale now.
Confidential to Alloro.
I'm here...And here to congratulate you on being right, about your closer to $8. call today.
I'd take my hat off to you, but I don't wear one, but if I did wear one, it would be a JCP hat.
I like many, was surprised to see JCP announce their sales coming in on the lower end of the scale.
Only thing that makes sense is they have more than a month to report earnings and are attempting to have analysts lower expectations so they can soundly beat.
So tell your friend Tnge, "wait until the next earnings report"!
Longs, don't give up. JCP still a great turnaround story in the making...
How many stores did they say they'll be closing?
Oh that's right, none.
I agree. You as an individual, hope you are on the right side of the issue, and sometimes it comes down to instincts.
An interesting perception, from the comment section of a JCP article.
Before answering their questions during the Analyst Day, I would like for JCP management to ask each of these analysts if their companies are holding short positions in JCP stock:
You would think that those companies and others should have to declare their long and short positions when they make comments regarding any public company to protect the millions of 401K and mom and pop investors.
Do you think these analysts have an agenda to protect the investment decisions of their respective companies? Do you think they attempt to manipulate the stock price of JCP? Do you think they should be required to preface their questions by stating their companies long or short position?

Why would I expect more bonds to be issued? They have ample cash now, I would not expect him to say there would be any bond offerings anytime soon,
If so, how much will he say they'll need?
No store closures that I see him talking about. Do you, if so how many?
Sales figures, he may touch on growth, in single digits, double digits would be nice.
What do you think they'll be?
I expect he'll talk about the successful tender offers, and you know the 400 million they received, even when some here said they had no assets remaining to pledge.
Come to think of it you may be one of the ones that said that. Not really sure though.
I think they are done paying off bonds or notes for now, that will come later when they return to profitability, IMO.
I don't believe he'll talk at all about store closings, that's a rumor.
A big change in marketing doubt it, what they are doing seems to be working O.K. slow but steady.
I expect to see more results of that next month when they report earnings.
About the COH Seems to me Ullman has chosen the right people, Ed Record, Sadove, and some others, don't think he'll mention more tomorrow. Appears he has the right people for the job. November will determine how well the team is doing.
Wonder if he'll mention how soon they will return to profitability, any hint of that and it will be off to the races for the Longs.
Maybe you think he'll strike out like Casey at the plate. And since you say much, why not list all your reasons, he will?
"Simple market manipulation" Hmmmm sounds familiar.
Ullman coming up to plate at 8:00AM tomorrow, I think he'll hit it out of the park!
if*, such a big word. How about if* the holiday sales figures are above par, what then?
Alloro will now report what revenue/ sales numbers will NOT be added to JCP coffers over the next few years.
The tender offer was completed successfully on 10/6...It's all coming together.
The stage is set. JCP to attract buyers after 8:00AM tomorrow.
