i bought 4000 more shares @ 1.28 on Thursday. Earnings coming up soon, TC underperforming other copper miners, Once they get MM back up to speed, the stock should continue to rise as long as copper and gold prices cooperate.

Like many of the "shorts" on this board, your ID was created only about a month ago and you have only commented on TC stock. Does that sound suspicious to anyone? I'm not accusing any particular person, but when you see these negative comments that have no facts or real information, click on their ID and then click back a few pages and you will see that these were mostly created in the past month or two. I have had my Yahoo ID for about 15 years, so you should be very cautious of any ID's less than a year or two old. Another thing, i am really getting sick of everyone blaming Ultra for TC stock price dropping. Its not his fault. nobody knew Moly would drop so low and that they would be forced to close the 2 moly mines. TC will come back, if you sell know then you lock in your losses, probably not a very good idea at this point. I wish good luck to everyone though, we all the small fish in a big sea of insider trading, so its difficult enough without us turning on each other.

I just got back from the UK yesterday and the price of petrol is down to 1.30 pounds per liter, but cab fares aren't any better. A 3km ride from Waterloo train station to a local hotel in London was 18 pounds, about $25 US, mostly due to traffic.
I found it interesting that it took about 8 million shares over 3 days to get TC to drop from 1.07 to .89, but in 1 day it only took 2.7 million shares to get back to 1.07 from .91 cents.

i would be careful trading those double and triple ETF's. They lose so much money because they are leveraged. NUGT follows GDX i believe, so if GDX drops 5%, then the next day GDX goes back up 5%, if you own GDX your still even, but if you own NUGT, you lose money. the worst ones are TVIX UVIX SRS, these have all lost 99.9% of their value over the past few years because they are leveraged. Your much better off just buying GDX and then buying some extra on Margin. the average margin loan is what, about 7-10% a year, you can lose 7-10% on a leveraged ETF in 30 days. Do the math on it. Triple leveraged are worse than double. I used to trade a LOT, and those ETF's are strictly for day trading, not holding overnight. Ask the people who made them Proshares, Direxion etc. they will tell you the same thing in the prospectus.

I wonder what is up w/ the Zacks article today saying to sell TC. LOL they didn't even mention the production update from MM. I wonder if anyone follows Zacks buy high and sell low advice. Seems to have had zero effect on the stock price. Maybe someone at Zacks is trying to load up. That is the only thing i can think of besides them pumping some penny stock AAREF which doesn't even come up on yahoo or Schwab and has trading a whopping 3500 shares @ .33 cents so far today.

I believe it was a MOC Market Order Close order since it posted at 4:03 I'm glad it posted that way, but those types of orders can also work against you. Only 15,000 shares and it takes away the entire days trading, making it almost irrelevant. They should change the rules to not allow those types of trades, but its nice when it works in your favor.

Gold up, COPX and CPER up GDX GDXJ up, TC production levels up (in May ) TC stock price down. LOL makes no sense. At some point the buy high sell low crowd will run out of shares to sell and the price should bottom out i imagine.

Now the bids are 139,000 @ .97 and 100,000 @ .96 someone is trying to acquire here. We will see how patient they are, a market order of 100,000 shares would be fun to watch :D

  • on June 2nd they put out a production report for May and here it is July 2nd and no report for June. Could be because of the holiday or because it is the end of the quarter and they are adding up all the data for their normal production report that comes 8-9 business days at the end of every quarter, but whatever the reason, i imagine that is why its selling off today, but 11% does seem like a bit of an overreaction. The market cap for this stock is getting ridiculous. Before i even finished typing, down 12% now. :(

the market has only been open a few minutes. If TC doesn't rally on this news, i would be surprised, but i guess since everyone else seems to have seen this news yesterday (based on the price action of TC), we should be glad its holding onto yesterdays gains.

its a bear attack, what "analyst" watches a stock go from $3.00 to .70 cents and then downgrades it from Buy to Hold? The only reason i saw that he gave was the 100 hours of downtime that is scheduled for the 3rd and 4th quarter for maintenance. That is an average of 2 days per quarter, so it will mean 2.2% lower production (2/90), but if during the downtime they improve throughput over 2.2% it will be worth it, so it really makes no sense, unless his brokerage is trying to accumulate shares.

The stock was only above .73 cents for about one minute, it went as high as .7315, but since it was for such a short time, if you were trying to sell on a particular exchange and there were no bids on that exchange above .73 your order may not have gone through unless it was a market order.

wow, the more you speak the more people are going to realize that you have no idea what your talking about. Your "followers" are going to abandon you, that is if you ever had any. Do you really think the board and shareholders would approve a sale of TC @ .75 cent s when they have around a$1 in cash and a very expensive asset in Mt Milligan? LMAO. =P

  • Seems to have happened in the middle of the night on Sunday while the Chinese market was open. Which Country is trying to accumulate as much gold as possible so that they can be the next world reserve currency? Would this country benifit if the price of gold drops? Isn't this eventually going to hurt the US? Copper didn't drop much today and neither did the copper miners.

  • markweber348 markweber348 Jul 23, 2015 4:32 PM Flag

the LME has such a small percentage of the worlds copper that its not really relevant, but global demand could be dropping. When the LME inventories were dropping to their lowest levels in many years last year, the price of copper was still dropping. Many of the stories online are trying to influence investors. If you really believe that copper is heading much lower, then sell your TC @ .53 cents. Price to sales .17 Price to Book .18 Cash per share $1.11 I know they have debt, but what miner doesn't. In my opinion deflation is starting to show up in many places and i'm not sure if Yellen is concerned enough about it. Bernanke would have started another QE by now and would have stopped the ridiculous talk of a raise in rates.

The brave men and women who risk their lives everyday at McDonalds and Dunkin Donuts in NY are getting $15 an hour, i wonder how much the miners are asking for.

If you have been watching/trading TC since 4.00 not owning any @ .58 cents seems like you have a low risk tolerance. What you have to do is ask yourself is how long can TC last @ current metal prices. I believe that number to be approx 2-3 years, there are many who would argue in both directions, but you cannot deny that Mt Milligan is a valuable asset and the Moly mines are aces in the hole in case OPEC wants to make oil prices rise again. So, lets say they have only 2 years left. That is still a lot of time for change to take place in the economy and metal pricing. In Dec 2005 TC was .53 cents a share, in July 2007, it was over $20 a share. That is only 19 months for a 4000% gain. Nobody can predict the future, but if you look at the past it gives you the best insight into the future. GLTA
