It will definitely give us a nice spike, but keep in mind Mr. Sun mentioned in the CC that they are working with some "big names" that they will be announcing during Q2, we are in the belly of the beast.

It will take a few pieces of news consecutively to get us out of this slump, if we can manage to announce like 3 deals in a matter of 3 weeks, I am very confident we will be trading north of $4 at that point.

in fact our largest holder (RENAISSANCE TECHNOLOGIES) added again
our second largest holder did not sell any shares
and third largest chopped off about 7% of its holdings but still holding a decent amount

we had a few new buyers as well that were not as large

plus shorted shares decreased substantially so there was a large covering after the last drop

all in all, this is still an interesting company, and we should be seeing some deals announced soon

  • waiting to hear from Mr. Sun as to what line of business that is from

  • martikghookasian by martikghookasian May 12, 2016 10:44 AM Flag

while I did not get a chance to ask all my questions because I stopped to allow for anyone else to ask and then didn't realize the call would end, I did get the company to confirm on a few points....

the DJI deal is a significant milestone for the company

we are about to get an announcement regarding the Portable Energy Storage Devices by this months end
and will be selling starting June

other projects which were discussed in the last Q4 conference call that were supposed to come about in Q2 of this year are on track and they expect to make announcements there as well

we are working with a Robotics company from Europe in the line of lawn mowers which is looking to be launched in the U.S.

Anshan deal is on going, I expect to hear something here in the next few months

    Pak....

"today announced that its board of directors (the "Board") has received a non-binding investment proposal letter from Anshan Co-Operation (Group) Co., Ltd. ("Anshan Co-Operation"), joined with Mr. George Pan, Chairman and CEO, and certain management of Highpower International, and China Innovative Capital Management Ltd."

what does "joined with Mr. George Pan, Chairman and CEO, and certain management of Highpower International, and China Innovative Capital" mean to you? that means it is being cahoots.

Chris, my thoughts are we are going to get some light on Q2 developments and the Anshan deal, if things seem positive, we are going to start trending higher

you have no idea what you're talking about, Pan is one of the management that came up with the deal to begin with, go read the PR so you better understand

crazy bid and ask pinning stock price at $2.01 today, pretty unusual, is someone accumulating shares prior to news? maybe

how come we are not talking about the growth from 2013-2014? do we just choose to talk about whatever may make us look good? there is no need to share the past if you are not going to share the whole damn thing

No one is really interested in your results and facts, it's easy to talk about 2015, but you can't talk about 2016 can you? because you are not very forward thinking. So how come you don't talk about the difference between 2013 and 2014? why just 2015? because you want to pick and choose a 1 year time frame to prove something that is not true. Can tell us what revenues and earnings will be by the end of 2016? if you can't, you should probably give your babbling a rest.

Chris, we had not had any meaningful deals announced since the Mophie deal, it is easy for anyone to post about the stock price in hindsight, however the company was/is clearly in a transition stage, and they are preparing for larger deals with larger customers, that takes time. The fact that he gets on and talks about the last year as if the world is ending tomorrow, is very telling that he cannot quite grasp what is going on with the company. Of course the stock price will not do well when we do not have any deals announced, and we don't see revenues accelerating. But that will all change, the DJI deal is one of the biggest opportunities I have seen the company come across. And, there will be more coming.

What is this guys argument? to sum it up in a nutshell... the stock price has not done well, I'm a fake portfolio manager, I am leading everyone to a dark hole, it is a Chinese company, the Sun is not going to come up tomorrow, the whole world is ending and that is because of me.

Meanwhile, in the real world, real things are happening, and the company is months away from accelerating the business they have worked so hard towards for the past several years. I've been here for a long time and held on throughout all of it, I don't have anything to hide, it's easy for someone to show up when they feel like it and make comments that may make them look smart for a day or two, but it's irrelevant.

how do you figure what he has stated is spot on? Drone news was not expected, in fact no news was expected until the Anshan deal concluded, that's what everyone was thinking. I am probably the only person on this board that was expecting any news at all, and that is because I have taken my time to do my research. When we get more announcements, he is going to come up with some stupid explanation for that as well. As for people getting out on the first day with 5 million shares being traded, that is pure speculation on his part and doesn't mean anything, and whoever did sell will be the same people getting back in at higher prices when the tide turns. HPJ's manufacturing currently is around $200 million, so they have never been maxed out, as they mentioned in two CC's ago, they were opening up room by getting rid of smaller customers to cater to larger ones, nothing happens overnight, and these kinds of shifts take time. Big names don't translate into great earnings? actually we have done quite well with earnings, he should have said revenues if he was any smarter, but just because revenues have not sky rocketed in the past quarters, does not mean it cannot moving forward. As they have mentioned in the last CC, there are meaningful deals they are expecting to place in Q2. The guy has absolutely no insight to the company, and has no clue where the stock price will be in the future. I can go on and on destroying this guys logic (or lack thereof) but no need.

lol that's funny if you think the market knew about the Drone deal way in advance, close to 5 million shares traded on the news, you know what else is funny? I am the one who brought up the DJI news a few months ago, so are you saying that everyone knew because of me? 5 million shares traded based on the news and everyone knew about it prior? As for the rest of your post, you are pretty clueless as well.

you make no sense, and no one on this board thinks you do either

actually, we do have quality earnings

we have better earnings that many other alternative energy companies, just compare for instance to (plug) plug power, or (cpst) capstone turbine, or (fcel). None of these companies are even making a profit, and are also making less in revs, yet there market cap is larger than ours. This is partly because investors feel more comfortable with a U.S. company, and like to buy them more, and partly because they just believe the hype stories. In the long run, to stay in business, it is important to have a profitable business strategy, we have that, we just don't have the exposure. What it is really going to take is some very large named customers and move over the $200 million mark in revs, then we will be breaking the door down and making a statement. Hewlett Packard would be a huge name to be dealing with.
