This is the retail business. If they had a glass door at Food Lion a Belgium owned company, you would be reading many more cons than Sprouts and the same attitude per store based on the store manager. You have to remember, the stockers, the cashiers, etc., are mostly people at their level who aren't prepared for the real corporate world lacking a college education, and yet they are hired for a back breaking job and in many cases even without a high school degree. I'm not judging them or putting them down, just stating facts. That's how tough this business is which gives these people a chance to work. . This is the nature of the beast. Publix which isn't a public company overall treats their employees better then a lot of other supermarkets, but again it depends on the store manager. I know this because my nephews wife works for a Publix in Birmingham, Alabama and tells me how terrible the store manager is and how many disgruntled employees there are. For everyone that leaves there's always someone else looking to get hired. This business is a continual grind day and night. There are thousands of restaurants around the country and the good ones survive if the food is excellent and priced right. So there is competition in every industry and room for everyone who apply the principles in their industry that work. Time will tell, but for now I'm a fan. If you're negative as to their future you should sell now. GLTU.

You're correct about the multiple which is true of many companies in their early stage and rising pps on blow out figures. The street has an agenda to hurt the pps. As far as wages here is a post on the 25th from Nazrite. "Walmart shorts 40 hr week to deny benefits all the time. I haven't seen that in sprouts. Basic hourly has been near 9.67/hour to start in my area for a year. My daughter moved from CA to TX and worked there for a while."
So I don't know what the truth is concerning this, and the increase Walmart is talking about goes to $9.00an hour. . If you read the street article they posted an untruth that the competition are lower priced and Sprouts sales are falling behind, when just the opposite happened with the blowout ER.
Also this doesn't relate to your third point office products. On-line grocery shopping has not been as successful as box stores selling electronics on-line, or office supplies etc. I once worked for a supermarket chain and they tried on-line and it never took hold, even tried receiving a call from customers ordering on the phone and then picking up the bags at the store, and that never took hold and was abandoned.
Sprouts stores are unique and inviting and on a growth spurt just at the right time. They've now entered the 3 billion dollar range, so they aren't the kids they once were and now have an infrastructure that works and great in house experience, so the learning curve has given them great insight. Go to a WalMart store and look at their produce, so much should be discarded. Sprouts is fresh and appealing to the eye. It's why they have done so well. GLTU lennon. I've changed from a hold to a buy and in time we will see a $40 plus pps. Patience is the name of the game, Rome wasn't built in a day.

From the Street. "Sell Sprouts Farmers Market Despite Earnings and Revenue Beat". Yup Nazrite, that's the poke in the eye, Cramer's street BS. What a pile of dung. I'm sure they are loading up. It's a crime but that's wall st.. I'm in for the long term. Glad your not dismayed. I've just added some more. GLTA.

Good day back to you leereece. We should be over 39 this morning, but for some reason it's being held down. Very unusual after having a stellar earning report top and bottom. I'm in it long term so will take the hills and valleys along the way. They have a super enticing display. GLTA.

The only other thing I can think of why it dropped in extended hours rather than shooting up, is perhaps something has leaked out about Apollo selling the balance of its shares to be reported tom.
great, great report as we thought it would be, glta. Conference call shortly at around 5 pm.

yes minny they are ruining the board. But on the other hand we now know who they are and their agenda, so with them on ignore, in time they will leave. I've always known this is you and the one psac created the other day without the y was obvious. They're a waste of time to even talk about now. I just posted this so hopefully all the longs will no longer respond to their posts. In time they will be gone. From here on in it's better we no longer talk about them, period. Have a great day minny.

minny slickttop4 can actually be psac or chimp or his other aliases, since he's gone crazy using them the last couple of days. It wouldn't surprise me even though slick4 post is normal English not the crazy stuff psac has been posting lately. Who knows, just ignore them all as I have. No point in responding, one day they will leave when it no longer suits them. And if we ignore them, and don't even pay attention to what others who don't have them on ignore post they might just leave. It's crazy hanging around to just make pennies. IT WOULD BE BEST THAT ALL LONGS PUT THEM ON IGNORE, PERIOD

It will be a great report, I can't see it any other way, JMHO. We'll know tonight. I was looking for over $39 bucks plus tomorrow morning, but they beat it down below 38 now clinging to around 37, so we will see. I hope Apollo sells the rest, then that will no longer be a concern. This is a long term play for me and also believe they will be a candidate for a buy out in time. GLTA.

Apollo is a possibility gear, selling the rest of the shares. If so and down we go, we will go back up IMHO, just a matter of time, unless the market takes a big correction. But I do believe the numbers tomorrow eve will be good and beat the consensus.

minny it looks like psac now chimp has many aliases as well. Maybe he was reported for abuse and had to create new ones? Who cares, he's on ignore now. These two guys, slick and psac have been revealed for who they are and why they're here, so no need to be concerned about them hurting the board. Smart people will notice all the red thumbs down and won't pay attention to them just like us. So hopefully if we all have them on ignore and they no longer hear from anyone, perhaps they'll be gone. It's crazy that they day trade for pennies anyway. Have a great week..

arnie, he's a bully and finally admitted he's a short, his words " thanks for reiterating my agenda - it pays to advertise". so his agenda is known for sure. So now there isn't any reason to even read his posts because they will always be negative even when good things happen, so he now goes on ignore like I have slick.

Well kiss, he finally admitted his agenda as a a short, it's right here in his post, let those newbies be aware of his negative rants. "Agenda: 1) watch you squirm; 2) work the short end of the trade - from $10 that has been very profitable. I have as much right, actually more, to work the short side as you have with your meaningless bag holding bashes - at least I articulate actual investment rationale and themes while YOU HAVE NOTHING OF SUBSTANCE."
