This "investment" has been a disaster, just throwing good money after bad now...since the 2nd secondary, which I am sure caught quite a few by surprise, this has been on a one way ride.
As fast as it went up, it slid back down...someone pushing it up to dump? to suck someone in? Same as yesterday...waiting to see what happens at the end of the day.
The lower it goes, the bigger the rally needed to get it back to where it was, had a feeling this would happen...other cos. out there with less then IDRA but with a SP's that are much higher. Hope this market settles down by mid-September or this could be really low.
Tanking with the rest of the market, sold off at the end of the day as it seems to do everyday now. Only hope some institutional long holders are buying, lower it goes...the bigger the rally just to get back to break even.
Minnie, you are probably correct...but this has become a nightmare investment, like Jr and a couple of others I thought it had stabilized around $5.82, but just looked and was I/we wrong... low float means it can be gobbled up quickly I hope by the institutions if indeed they are buying .
The only person denying the truth is you nitwit, they had an offering AFTER the qtr ended that raised 40 mil or so...bye bye.
Bashers were right there, here...too early to tell at the moment. Right now, I am trading outside Bio at the moment, easier for me. Taking a bath on both my Bio holdings at the moment.
Why are there so many bashers/shorts/negative posters for a stock that is currently has a $3 share price? What are they so worried about or more to the point, what are their pay masters worried about? Are they out to completely shut out the retail investor? Too many smart people for that here, the iggy hotel is bulging at the seams, but new alias's show up most every day...must be something really good here. After digesting today's info, we'll know in a few weeks...
Thinly traded stocks, this can happen and combined with market, I am hoping you're correct. To be honest, probably like many others, the second secondary caught me completely by surprise or I would have waited a few days...surely not selling here.
This is a little more then a fluctuation, this gone straight down since the last secondary...both a little worried and concerned. Hasn't been able to get a grip at any level.
Wow, nice to know that I am not the only one who has an avg share price of $3.70, just not the 150K shares though...thanks for the explanation of accumulation that you wrote earlier this week or last week.
Thanks tursta for the well thought out and balanced post and to all the others that have "voiced" their thoughts AVXL and investing in general. Biotech investing has taught me more about long term investing and patience then my two wives have tried to...early days of tech investing was sure as hell easier then this but maybe not quite as satisfying...
