Kurt is a class person always took the time to come to all UPS training classes to have candid conversations with his people. Not like the current CEO came through the ranks the hard way.
Maybe if they managed the welfare of the regular workers instead of upper management lining their pockets the company wouldn't be in such bad shape. As always the rich get richer.
Worked at both companies and FDX much better treatment of employees from a sales perspective.
Much more professional and family oriented. Nothing to pump up just better.
UPS was an excellent company until they went public I was a long time brown employee who jumped shipped and I can honestly tell you the grass is purple on the other side. They treat their employees with the respect they deserve.
I switched to purple a few years ago much better place to be and the service works. Brown drivers very unhappy working 80 hr weeks and horrible mngmnt
It should be firstname.lastname@example.org i believe you can look it up on thier website. Also as a former upser the issue is the attitude and union mentality of thier drivers who don't care. Since the company when public this changed everything. You should use fedex a much better customer serviced oriented company.
Ups delivers to more nda but fedex delivers ground to 12% to 25% of the country faster.
as a former upser now selling against thier service fedex does a much better job all around.
BD had a conference call on Friday. A buddy called me and said everyone in BD sales including upper management is going down to one unit. Why would someone want to get promoted? An AE can make more than a manager if they are on plan.
I have heard all kinds of reports and actually am impressed the stock has really stayed and held it's own in a declining economy. Jim Kramer always gives UPS the thumbs up.
I don't know about selling but the rich always do seem to get richer. Especially after they gave themselves fat raises before they took away the 401k match.
I hear that UPS is partnering with Brinks to target FedEx's strong hold on $50K and under in the Jewelery industry.
UPS has started going after the loose stones and other merchandise that FedEx currently handles. Could be huge boost to business.
I will be laughing in a few weeks. I just think is it a complete joke that we have some very good people who actually considered this place a career but are forced to leave due to the fact that we are trying to sastify wall street. It is disgusting what we have become. They paid for my education and I owe nothing back anymore so the ball and chain is off.
Thanks my manager has been pretty cool. We are forcing them to make up what we can't such baloney. Had a friend who is above plan and gets a $20 raise after 3 years then we have the cuhones to ask for $300?
On my way just waiting for the MIP to go into the account.
It is out of control.
Thanks for the advice
That's a great line. They are a bunch of perv/alcholics. I am hopefully leaving soon and the sad part is I want to stay but unfortunatley don't drink the same Koolaid. Mngmn't is at an all time low since we are being abused and used. Like the customers say another small fish in our big pond.
