we believe you are short selling HERO, or otherwise have and economic interest in the share price going lower, Sleepingone...

Bravo Sleepingoff... Yes we believe Bond is a total weasel, playing both sides of the aisle. We believe you are short selling, but that is ok you don't try and hide your fear mongering.

hey miskeen, you don't own any shares but are here lurking on the HERO board....it's creepy, man...

"Someone, maybe even a competitor, wants HERO to fail it appears, or at least force management and the board into a distressed situation so their options are limited." Conspiracy theories Bull???? It's been reported that ARAMCO needs to cut 1.5 billion from this years drilling budget. Why not the simplest explanation for the ARAMCO cancellation, it was a contract that was increasing in price and they were able to cancel, and so they did...?

Why I think Hero won't go bankrupt.

to be fair what Rynd said about the 2009 debacle was before ARAMCO cancelled the contract. Would he say the same thing today? I'm long and holding, and I am concerned. But look, I love the management, 1. 2, i've done this before, bought when everyone was convinced it was over, and if you look at the price you know everyone already thinks it's over. 3. Oil prices, NO one knows what will happen next. Article after article states that once we finish off all our oil storage, prices will free fall. Ok they will initially and then what? That is a short term reaction to a longer term problem (too much production and not enough consumption). If you are working the shale patch are you/can you keep pumping oil that is worth little with no where to store what you pump for a rainy day? How will oil look once we run out of storage space and drillers can get little to nothing for what they produce? is that when people stop, stop drilling, stop fracking? I'd love to get some of the oil boys to do some prognostication on this. I've read so many article, literally all of them every day, and i don't think anyone has the first clue about oil prices, which aren't exactly the same thing as HERO's fortunes, although they are tightly connected....

Totally disagree, respectfully. Hero has a nice compliment of old/new rigs. They have triumph and hercules that are Super A class new rigs that are NOT under contract. THAT is the issue now. It's been reported by Barrons that the Triumph has a contract starting this summer. Look to my above posts about "old rigs"....it's a red herring, non issue for hercules.

old rigs is red herring, a scare tactic. The seeking alpha likes to harp on this. It's well known that ARAMCO doesn't care, in some cases prefers old rigs. The GOM drillers use old rigs. It's not an issue for HERO. There IS an issue with the cancelled ARAMCO contract, that changed the game, but time will tell to see what Hero pulls out...

With the caveat that "who knows" if what CEO's say in conference calls is mere puffing let me say this. It always sounded from Rynd that Aramco was a fair business partner. I don't see any malice in the decision to cancel, just economics. The day rate on that cancelled rig was going way up for the remainder of the contract. It's been reported that 48 rigs are pumping for ARAMCO at day rates reflecting a 7.5 billion budget, when ARAMCO has a new forecast for 6 billion. IT means they need to cut budgets between 20-25% to acheive their new forecast. So other companies may be on the line for cancellations, all are for rate reductions. Is there special animosity between ARAMCO and HERO that ARAMCO doesn't have for it's other drillers? it's possible i guess, but when you listen to Rynd you don't hear it...

You paint a rosy picture. I'm long, and the ARAMCO cancellation has me concerned. Do you see that being renegotiated? One analyst recently said HERO had another contract in the North Sea like it was already a done deal. Is this what gives you confidence Fire?

    matthewmeyer123 matthewmeyer123 Mar 11, 2015 5:32 PM Flag

so we lose one ARAMCO contract and are priced to lose all ARAMCO contracts? that's what I think too. But for arguments sake is this rational? By this logic all drillers should be priced to go out of business because they too could lose all their contracts tomorrow. Do you see some special jeopardy that HERO faces the other drllers don't, in regards to Aramco?

As to Miskeen, sorry to disagree, the weasel factor is just too high, i think he's here to sew fear and i think he is dishonest.

Miskeen.... Here's what we know from common sense most of all, ALL of us follow our own selfish financial interest. When we sell out of a position we move on, we don't go on on spouting off about things in which we no longer have an interest. That would be like hanging around ones ex-wifes house after a divorce.... That is creepy!!!

So you are either really creepy (possible) OR you are here to sell fear and an agenda which you are being deceptive about. Either way, you cannot be given any credibility....

are you guys in bed together Bond?

For those of us in the real world, we don't "lurk" around message boards after we sell our shares. Indeed, we don't find this sort of claim credible. We think Miskeen is not being truthful when he says he sold his shares now he's "hanging around" the HERO message board. For what, is he lonely? Or does he have an agenda he's not sharing????

Ah ok Miskeen, you stalking message boards in stocks in which you have no interest! We live in the real world, we use common sense, common sense tells us that we are financially selfish. I don't hang around message boards of stocks i used to own, just like i don't hang around my ex wife's house. It's common sense, and WE know this.....

So you either have a financial interest in HERO of which you are being dishonest, or you are stalking message boards because your life is uninteresting? With either possibility you've lost credibility.

Reported by barrons from an analysts opinion....But i don't think we can consider that deal "done" can we? If it were it would have been in the fleet status report no?

  • matthewmeyer123 matthewmeyer123 Mar 8, 2015 11:44 PM Flag

Bull.... To what do you attribute the recent "news" from Zephrin that the triumph is contracted in the north sea? No weight, unless it is printed in the fleet status report?
