Mu will pay much more for Lexar than this current bid. They are issuing more shares to buy them out which is duliting their share count but not having to come up with any cash. Look at the market cap for Mu, they could pay cash if they wanted to. this is a win win for them and they need Lexars sales for the new plant. We could easily see a revised bid of 11 to 12 or possibly more if Icahn shops it will other serious bidders. I will be holding for something better. The company was not run well, but the sales this year will be over a billion. That will increase Mu sales 20%!! That is huge for a co that size. I do see the combo as a win, win for both provided we get a fair price. I have held for far to long. good luck to all longs!!

Yes, This co is based where I live. One of my customers is the previous founder. It is a steel right now, which if you have been following this company, is hard to believe it was knocked down this low. It will not last long. I am also an option trader and have many calls for the next move which should be up hopefully. I also have lexar calls, some I sold yesterday to get more into vphm which I think has huge upside. Mike Murphy put a buy on this stock at 21 to hit 43 this year. Then it got crushed as we all know. This company has not debt, 200 million in cash, only 43 employees and sales this year projected at 160 to 170 million. Unbelievable value. Look deep into it and there really isn't a better buy out there right now, even if the market tanks.

  • Mu can easily pay much more. Especially if its an all stock offer. No cash outlay, they will then get lexars cash, issue new shares of mu which costs nothing but dulution of existing mu shareholders which will cause the stock to drop a bit. But when the smoke clears it will rise again. They have a 9 billion market cap with 5.8 billion in net assets. A few more hundred million to take over a company with one billion a year in retail sales is small potatoes. Mu will definately up the offer to either .875 or as much as 1 p/s if some other parties get involved. I have held this dog for 2 1/2 years and will wait for the final offer! Good luck to all longs. We deserve it!

I totally agree!! It doesn't take much business sense to understand the dynamic's of this potential deal. If and when the do aquire lexar and intel gets the plant up and running Micron would be a very good buy if it goes down from here. However, lexar is on the table and they do offer a tremendous future value with retail sales, award from the lawsuit, growing royalties, and patents. This company went public at 8.oo a share folks. The board and management has been so poor, thank goodness for the sales growth and patents. All those items combined will bring a partner on for at least a few dollars more than where we are right now. For Stang and the exec's to give themselves bonuses in Jan knowing that they lost money!! Thank goodness they are selling. I tired of looking at this stock!!!!! Good luck to all longs!!MAB

Shareholder lawsuits in most cases are ridiculous. As a shareholder, we must stand behind management which has done incredible things this past year. Look at the where we are today!! No debt, cash, income, very few employee's!!!!!! Low overhead and no debt!!!!! The key to making money today is just that. So have the company waste money defending wall street? I don't think that is beneficial to anyone. Look at it this way, you now can buy this stock at 50% off its true value. Wouldn't you buy a car, house, or anything of value at a huge discount in a heart beat!!! I know I am, I tripled down. In a few months or weeks we could easily be up 50%. This company has tremendous upside. I am holding for the future and just bought stock at the bottom. I love it!! Good luck to all longs!!!!!

How can a company drop from 240 million and not pre announce the last quarter with losses and then pre announce today such dismal revenues. Duh... Are we all that stupid!! Such poor management, I can't wait to get this piece of shit stock out of my mind, but I know we are going higher from here so I will hold till then. Stang gets a huge bonus when this deal closes you will all find out. Good luck to all longs, we deserve alot more than we will probably get. MAB

    ONE ANALYST,,ONE A HOLE

There is always a lag in analyst's forcast's. They will revise up after its up! Or down after its hammered. I once invested in this co when the stock was at 100!! Wish I bought puts on the way down, but here we are today with a complete turn around story. Look at everything they have compared to all else. 48 employees in my home town. Small overhead, sub out manufacturing which is great, no debt, 170 million in the bank and more every month because they are making tremendous profits. Look at the backround on the management!! Show me another co that has as much potential. For me, this was a gift and great opportunity to triple down and recoup some previous losses. My advise is to do the same and be patient. Minimum double plus this year, possibly, by fall. Good luck to all longs. MAB

  • For those that don't know. Back then sales where small. Still not making profit. So here we are today over 800 million in g/s. With patents, future royalties, future settlement with Toshiba, and if they win the lawsuit that started this year, they are a rambus. Huge royalties to come. Of course that all has to go right for a company managed so wrong. Mu can pay double easily by issuing stock. Instant 20% growth, retail store fronts in major outlets, Kodak growth, future settlement with Tosiba, future royalties. Shall I say more. Yea, whomever makes negative comments on Ichan, is simply not thinking straight. For all of us longs, Thankyou Carl!!!!

    Lexar's IPO was $8.00

m-baby you have been around this board for far too long like myself. I have enjoyed your positive posts unlike so many others. I have been trying to make $ from lexar for 2 1/2 years!! Uh....... as you know it has been awild ride to say the least. I have made some and then lost some thinking the pay off would finally come. such poor management, ridiculos. Anyway, I'm mostly out holding on to a small amount just for spite!! So,I thought you might appreciate a good recommendation for a company in my local town that was founded by one of my past customers. VPHM, you may have heard of before. The short and sweet. Buy it now. This is a double this year. Check it out, I could go into many positives, unlike our pal lexar, this company makes money every quarter, no debt, superb management. You'll see. Good luck, Mike

Good luck to you. Yes, I too feel that all deeds have good and bad tied to them. It certainly is easy to use Stang as the down fall to this company (which I agree mostly) however, the board also makes major decisions and gives the bonuses. So hard to believe he recieved 300,000 more in Jan!! Ridiculous, so hard not to be negative and critical isn't it when you see such bad decisions, and then to come out early with with a revenue drop of 50% well, shall we say that's bulllllllll!!! Anyway, we both could go on and on. thankyou for your response. I hope this misery ends soon. the deal with mu makes great sense, and they could easily up the price and probably will. My best guestimate is around 11.00 .75 of mu shares. If that gets announced the stock should trade to 10.5 and I am out forever. Good luck to you, lets see if Karma comes our way. Mike

  • So much negative and poor analysis. This company has been hammered. Not for bringing in 163 million(dilution?? very little, look at msft or any other large companies that have sold shares to obtain capitol, and certainly not for making tens of millions of dollars last year, not for out sourcing the manufacturing, which is largely capitol intensive, not for keeping the overhead low with 48 employees and still projecting 160 - 170 million in sales this year!!! For those that don't own companies or have a prospective on this. That in itself is a tremendous achievement. With health care, travel costs, benefits, etc.... Most companies this size would have hundreds and hundreds. We must look right now through the forest to see the trees. and more importantly the fruit it will bear. Other drugs with two majors partners in the pipeline. It is only a matter of time and its a double, then triple, who knows. Just look at most of the other comparable companies out there. The great buy we have right now will not be back!! Good luck to all longs. Regards, MAB

For your information, 2 quarters ago the company had 37 employees. This co is in my home town. No offense, but, they have added just a few more, 48 on record, and probably have to add more as they grow. The numbers speak for themselves, if you think their full of smoke, keep shorting or move onto some better opportunity. Markets are made by both sides, good luck either way. I know enough info that made me triple down here at this level. Hopefully, the choice is correct. Best of luck to all!!

when I see it. After all the years in this stock, I don't believe anything Stang says. What a crock!! The only hope for much higher returns is an offer by another, which probably will happen and a counter by mu. The fit is just right for Mu and they could easily offer much more, sinch its a stock exchange not cash. Could easily pay 12 to 14 if they wanted to without hurting their market cap to much. In the last two months Mu's cap has increased more the the offer for lexar. We will see I guess. Good luck all!!!!

Totally agree!!!! Stang made his, to late now for past wrongdoings to change the coarse of this co. Lexar will be much better off taking over by mu. Period, or another company possibly. The companies ipo was 8.00 p/s a long time ago. So much potential.. anyway, Mu can easily and will pay much more than where its at today. I see a minimum of .75 exchange if (12.00) their stock holds and is stable. They are diluting their stock for this purchase so it really doesn't cost them any cash outlay, and sinch the announcement the market has increased the market cap much nmore than the aquitition cost. As barrons as outlined this weekend, the up side looks promising, especially with the combination of lexar adding an immediate 30% sales increase to the company. Plus the underlying patents and lawsuit assets. If lexar was run better, the buyout would be 15 to 20!! Such a shame. The chess game is being played, this is how it works, you never know what your going to get until the morning news!! Good luck to all longs!! Hold

I agree, the price will be higher, but I don't believe much higher. Thank goodness for mu and Ichan. If not, with the way the co has been going it would be trading at 5 to 6 bucks. I will be so glad to take it off of my screen and put it somewhere else. Just a note, two good buys right now. vphm and enwv are worth looking into. Anyway, my best guess will be 11.5 low to high 13. the combination of companies actually looks perfect. Microns only adding 350 employees(sorry 349 Stang will be out!) to gain 7 to 8 hundred mill in sales. Plus, they are not even putting up any cash. Now thats how to grow a business. I give them credit and best wishes. Good luck to all longs, we all have suffered long enough!! MAB

I am new to this co. everything I have read looks extremely undervalued.. Does anyone know what is the next time news or info will help it move up. seems like a perfect takeover candidate at twice where its selling currently. Any positive thoughts would be appreciated. Thankyou, MAB

Market cap of ibm, you better do a little research first. I live in this town of viro, and have customers that work there. In fact one of my customers was the founder. Alot has changed, but the revenues speak for themselves. I have been in and out of this for over 6 years and they now are in the best shape ever. do what you think is best for you, I have also been burnt a bit but now and long for what I believe is a much higher return than being short. Good luck, it takes both long and short to make a market. As they say its all about timing.

option pricing can vary at any moment the traders think the stock will move. However, what you saw was the last trade on that Feb call option which could have taken place many days ago. With the stock at 12.5 which is in the money by $2.50 already, to buy the call at 3.4 by feb expiration is really a good deal considering you have 2.5 equity at the moment. Any moves up from this point would move close to dollar to dollar. I have both the jan 10 and 12.5 calls.. the stock is looking real good here and should make a real nice move by year end. Good luck. lMab

I don't think so, do you listen to the conference calls. have you ever had 850 employess? Let me tell you, you don't have that many by being a sham. Looking at the stock you referance to and how the co was set up. Yea, looks, smells, and acts like what it is. The financials and income are excellant for this co. The leaders speak very good and intellegent regarding the growth and issues without side stepping. They layed off 15% with reduced revenue and still made a few million... This is the kind of co I invest in.. Its a double or more from here. And easy buyout co for a least 15 plus.. Good luck to all longs and shorts. thats how we get such good buys right here.
