Not with Anthony Bettencourt involved. He's sold every company he's been a CEO for. If you are an employee, get a labor law attorney on retainer QUICK. he's got history of telling you one thing and then doing another. he's an IDIOT. Look at his education, he's only got a degree in English, he has no education in business or technology. he just knows how to twist words around to act superior.
That's why I don't use FB and other apps that cause that problem. I would check Google related apps as well. We all know they tend to do things we don't like. I deleted Chrome from my desktop and it took me a while to figure out what files it puts throughout the OS, it was pretty disgusting to find out what little applets and files they stick in weird places on an OS X computer. That's why I stick with Safari, far less issues.
I think Vivek is hanging around too many basketball players and fans. You know how Ebonics start to sit in when you surround yourself in that environment. Vivek made a complete IDIOT out of himself in Sacramento. If I were an Institutional investor or a top analyst covering Tibco, I would be on the phone encouraging him to either leave and run his little NBA wannabe ball club or give his company 100% attention. It's either one or the other, he can't run both, it's obvious.
Execution? Execution of what? Sales closing deals, software being implemented, developing the software to make it work properly when installed? Was there any clarification as to what they have problems?
But they have an ex-Football star as their Marketing exec that doesn't have any experience in the Enterprise market. That's got to account for something. Just joking.
Personally, with Vivek's attention being focused on overpaying for a loser BBall franchise and wasting his and his group's money on a new arena, I think VIvek's attention is elsewhere. I think they might be trying to sell this company off, Vivek seems to have other interests outside TIbco. It's a shame, he's kind of being stupid for overpaying for a low end ball club which will drain his bank account.
I could be wrong, but if you calculate the last twelve months from the last quarter, their net profits might be down for the year. I'm waiting to see how this quarter turns out, the summer is typically slow for the tech companies. I think this company's growth is flattening based on the recent growth rates. Maybe Oracle might buy them?
If you compare to BMC, BMC did twice the revenue last year but with almost 3x the profits and they just got sold off.
I wouldn't buy Google at that price, their stock hasn't really done much, the only reason why it's so expensive is because they don't have many shares since they haven't done any stock splits that I'm aware of. If you compared them to Apple, you would have dilute the shares by a factor of 3 and the share price would be about $200+ a share and the EPS would be around $10+. I don't see that much huge growth from these guys since they haven't proved themselves as being able to make and sell their own hardware at decent profit margins. The Motorola Mobility unit lost over $350 Mil last quarter. Plus they aren't paying dividends. Google derives most of their profits from ad clicks. BFD.
So, after reading articles on Microsoft going to be charging $40 a copy vs. $150 or so for the WIndows 7 upgrade. I guess the analysts are going to have revise their estimates down. MS might have to sell FAR more versions to make the same amount of money. OH, Boy. Maybe that's why the stock is going down.
I am going to say what i have been telling for the last decade or so. Microsoft will probably never be able to go past $40 a share. I think that's the limit.
But, I could be wrong.
They have to hold onto their shares for a certain period of time. It's a shame the SEC hasn't done an investigation, but maybe they will.
So what else is new. I don't think Suckerberg is going to talk to the media until he has to do his first analyst call for the quarterly report and I'm sure he is going to get nailed to the wall, if they have anyone worth a darn on the conference call. It should be interesting.
Hmm. Dollar cost averaging? That's one way to lose less money. the problem is that it hasn't bottomed out yet.
Because we're not stupid for buying it thinking that it was going to go up. we just get off on losers. Facebook is a company that doesn't a good enough product that they can charge for that people would pay decent money to keep on using the service. I think it would be interesting to find out how many people would pay $5 a month to use,
