  • How do these guys get away with this!! They clearly have an agenda, which is to cover their #$%$ if the earnings come in as weak as they estimate, meanwhile grab as many shares as they can by pushing the stock lower with these negative headlines...Once the stock gets past this negative attention and resumes its march forward, they will stand to have made mini fortunes - and hopefully so will I.
I still hate them for the short term damage they have caused.

Interesting ....Google would certainly like to dominate AMBA's video processing technology as it continues to pump more and more into their GoogleGlasses- not to mention its mapping model (picture dashboard cameras feeding live data to Google maps!).
The digital compression technology that AMBA has is second to none - absolutely none! If you look around you, there are more and more cameras everywhere since 911...and AMBA is part of this building "infrastructure"... Certainly on someone's radar - APPL could easily absorb them and take them to the next level....time will tell

    DSS Profitability ?

Rilo - while I agree with your general sentiment, I fear that keeping the top dogs will only serve to further destroy shareholder value....Rinaldi is not impressive, and his presentations thus far have always lead to share price deterioration... It seems that any influx of cash has gone straight into the pockets of these clowns and the expansion of their product development is non-existent! Their printing technology has a very shallow moat and can easily be replicated. Not for nothing, but counterfeit prevention technology is being explored by many firms and new products are being developed everyday - what has DSS come out with lately? I just sold...Loss: 65%. Happy to be done with it...at least I could swim to the shore before being sucked sown to the bottom of the market ocean....

    Sentiment: Sell

Not for nothing, but the price target and analyst rating has been static for the past year - regardless of DSS performance (or lack thereof!) - it is only one analyst (Dawson James) and I would venture to guess they have done some work for DSS and have been compensated with shares, which would explain their steadfast rating.
Don't get me wrong, I own 10,000 shares and certainly don't want to see the price to drop...but I am so disgusted with this company (and myself) that I feel hopeless and could only pray (a bad investment strategy) that some good news hits the wires...still praying.

Just need this news to fade and price will bob back up over a buck...how far? I couldn't tell you...need another catalyst like an innovative product launch (which they seem to have few of), or maybe heightened attention in the counterfeit protection sector....either way, they definitely need to expand their revenue stream and we cannot sit waiting for a favorable court decision to provide the "earnings" boost. It seems we (investors) are just funding operations while DSS fails to bring new product to the market...I cannot believe I thought this company had an edge and was a viable investment! I'm down over 10k, so I deserve the right to gripe....I only hope the board / management come back and show us why we should stay....either by market announcements or by replying here.

But the fact is, it will only rise and remain triple digits - especially into year end!

Ohhh my TSLA shorts are toasted

The $300 threshold is but days away...TSLA will bust it and then oscillate around that point for a short while as the company gains traction, both internationally and domestically.
There is no denying the public want more electric vehicles, and once the infrastructure gets built out, the consumers will embrace TSLA as THE luxury EV to own!

    Did I say $34?....my bet is 35...imho....

  • We should see another point or 2 through 9/9.... but a pull back and another entry point opportunity before the seasonal run-up in electronic retailers. Sitting for now, but may sell into temporary strength and re-enter after pull back. I say it hits 34....it is still the best place to get a hands on view of the most recent products, and that will continue to drive foot traffic...new product releases will be the icing on the cake as manufacturers prepare to get their newest on the shelves in time for holiday shopping.

    It Was Good Until

It was too early to expect blow-out, or even beating estimates... but the job of improving profits, reducing operating expenses is well underway and the company is setting up for a strong Q4...new product releases in the pipeline (Apple i60, wearables, etc.) are surely going to hit their next periods results - coupled with their efficiency improvements, the stock should easily bounce back over $35...
For now, a buyin opportunity going into next QTR.

We should be @$101 before friday......

certainly looks possible, but I wouldn't say for sure by Friday....However, $115 will be so far in the rearview mirror we will be looking at $200 by year end. You cannot deny the momentum and the constant innovation from the Apple team - Cook is doing a great job and the more Apple enters the home, the more sales earnings and profits will grow...
