I see the news coming by. I'm not sure if this is has been previously announced or not. If not, this should be a substantial lift for stock (all indexers will have to buy and hold).
I can't help but think we're stuck in this range for a while in spite of the great metrics here.
and you come up with a price of $200 per share (give or take). This is very conservative for this industry (biotech) in good or not-so-good markets. This doesn't account for outstanding cash position or balance sheet.
So what's not to like?
Is Jana still involved here? I can't believe they allow this to continue. Better to err on the side of chopping too many heads than to continue with dead weight.
Everything sounding and looking very, very good here. I don't think I'm being pollyanna when I think that this stock could be priced in the double digits next year. ( That might require a little upward movement in the price of gold).
Available right now for this management's consideration -
1- a bridge to nowhere.
2- a pig in a poke.
These sound like the type of opportunities that they would jump at.
Before management gets the chance to squander it on some overpriced (or self-serving) acquisition. They're probably looking right now for something that will keep them employed and screw the stockholders. Better in our pockets than squandered away.
Every single metric is fantastic (not good) for AAL. This stock should be much higher. It will suddenly get the recognition it deserves and soar. I'm guessing that some hedge fund and/or investor is doing some large volume trades that have kept the price down temporarily.
The ceo of Goldcorp was just on CNBC and mentioned that he is always looking at acquisitions. I have to guess that AKG has been looked at by all the major miners as production is getting closer.
Everything going well for this airline - domestic travel up, oil way down. Last time I checked this was the only unhedged (crude oil) airline so it doesn't have the hedging costs. It is probably the best buy in the market with no headwinds.
Glad I got out, although I was badly damaged here.
