bio, don't you think you are being a little too harsh, geegenjar has been dead right on several calls, perhaps one of my favorites; don't worry shorts amzn won't get over 380 if it doesn't get over 377.90,now that was a brilliant call and an astute observation.I'll bet they are talking about that call in Barron's this weekend, wonder if it still holds true, perhaps now it can get over 380 if it doesn't ever get over 377.90 again, what do ya think geegenjar?
I thought that your above post made the most sense out of every post you ever made that I scimmed over. If it stays below 377.02 it will never get over 380.01. You ever think about writing a book on technical analysis, you could probably spend 3 chapters just on the above thesis. I'll bet your post will be the hot topic over by the water cooler and coffee pot tomorrow morning.
Can't believe that its up today with all of the possible bad news out today pertaining to amzn specific, ex. potential revisit of having to collect taxes in all 50 states and the Luxemberg ruling. All this on incredibly low volume.
All I know is that there are boys suffering from DMD, their families are suffering right beside them, there are parents out there that would kill to get their child on etep.I just hope that something gets approved soon that will benefit the boys and their families.Imagine seeing videos of these dmd boys who were lucky enough to get in to the trials and having a younger child that is now wheelchair bound, 168 weeks is a long time. Most on this board are just investors in the company gambling on making a bundle, complaining about the setbacks in share price and progress being made with the fda, atleast most of you have the time, its more than the boys have.
It could hit 410 today, all it takes is bid 383.40, ask 410 and someone enters a market order, the spread is ridiculous and the movement on 400 shares is unbelievable.Tomorrow I go short.
its because of Piper Jaffrey , new research note out this morning raising their price target to 475.00, assume it is just related to option expirations tomorrow. They should be banned from putting out any research.
Have to believe the problems at the West coast ports will have a negative affect in about 5 months on what has occurred already, if problems persist the greater the impact.
amzn doesn't sugarcoat any of its financials, they come right out front and tell you , they missed revenue numbers last quarter and forecast lower revenues for the current quarter than analyst had expected and they expect to post a loss for the current quarter. They are upfront about slowing revenue growth, their aws business has turned into a commodity where prices are almost constantly being lowered and yet the stock still goes up; that's what I find frightening.I guess its just the greater fool theory, but at some point that has to end.amzn will never produce enough earnings to justify the current stock price. It will end badly, the question is ;when will it end. I think it could run through till the end of the quarter but lookout after that.
You maybe right, I heard that all profits made by amazon for the rest of this year are going to be paid out in quarterly dividends.
Actually amzn use to go up because analysts were enamored with their revenue growth, now amzn misses the revenue number and guides the current quarter below analysts expected revenue for the quarter, buying this stock here is a fools game.
All I know is if you checkout the moneyflow on Friday, amazon was ranked first for selling on strength, especially in the block trades, I believe the extended move higher on Friday had a lot to do with the large amount of options that expired just 1 day after the earnings release. The guidance they gave sure wasn't good for the current quarter, though I currently have no position I would love to see amazon go higher on Monday just so I could short it at a higher price, still think this will be sub 300 some time this year.
I just covered my 300 share short for a nice profit of 2980.00. Think it will still go lower but I couldn't understand the reason behind the big upward move after hours yesterday, always nice to make a quick profit and move on. GLTA
I took advantage of the pop and went short after hours, I have plenty of time to wait it out, think 280 level will get a retest at some point, the guidance they gave for the current quarter is below consensus estimates, will be interesting on analysts comments in am.
I don't know what percentage of costs fuel is to nvgs operations but whatever it is has gone down considerably, bought in today below 17.
Perhaps news will soon be released that they are changing their name to avii, could come at any time.
