I will keep it to to handles versus names, but everyone on this board and be assured that EXPSTKTRADER is the real deal and he is an professional investor. Been following him since the QCOR days and I am fully invested in this equity and it is nice to see we are once again on the same page.

For giggles I added another 100k shares today in two 50k blocks as anything under 3.00 will be considered a steal a few years from now.

    Have a nice 4th everyone!

Agreed. The float is dried up like the Sahara desert ..Any catalyst that gets announced will be like throwing a full gas can on a campfire. The 2nd half of 2014 will be a very exciting time indeed.

The next several months are going to be an exciting time for SYN shareholders. Riley is setting up the table for a successful roll out of a powerful pipeline. The revenue generation of SYN004 alone if successful through trials is mind blowing. One of many gems in our pipeline that can totally game change the company. These are the type of biotechs that make it fun to be an investor due to the exponential capital appreciation that can be realized if you have the ability to understand what you have along with having the patience to allow it to play out..

We should all invite both bull and bear cases to this board as long as they provide some thesis to support that position. If they come to the party with nothing in hand then put them on ignore. It's too easy and it helps in managing your time more efficiently. Reginald9Denny you have just joined my ignore list where you can join Yoda and all the other trolls who add no value to this board. And good luck with that short position and 50 cent estimate.

Over 14 million in the us alone on IV antibiotic. Protection of the microflora is the gut ( or good bacteria ) is a totally unmet need and SYN004 taken 4 times daily for an average duration of 5 days is what protects that bateria and prevents C-diff..This drug is approved could be the standard of care which could save lives and decrease days in the hospital which protects insurance companies and net saves them $$$ on claims.

We have not even discussed the patient pop size internationally....This is a gold mind stock and I will continue to load up my wagon on dips. !!

You are not doing enough due diligence on this equity based on your outlook. This is not a trading play as the float has evaporated and therefore it will not take much to move this thing up or down day to day. They will have C-Diff and IBSC results out the 2nd half of this year and a Trimesta Deal is in the works..This is a one billion dollar stock in 18-24 months so mark this one in your archieve folder and we will compare notes later.

    Long and Strong SYN!!

Seems like a little bit of a stretch to make a comparison to VRTX at this point from a pps perspective, but if Riley can execute flawlessly on our entire pipeline then your prediction could be a reality. A better way to look at it is he only needs to strike gold once and we are off to the races. I still feel C-Diff is going to be the 500 lb gorilla in the room soon to be beating its chest. Imagine being the standard of care for anyone who is on antibiotic IV...It's a multi billion dollar market and our market cap is less then 100 million.

MSDC LLP stands for Michael Saul Dell Captial...This is his company..The 66 holdings are accurate and of them he only holds 8 that in the related heathcare/tech sector. I exceeed my character limit so I may have reduced that portion of my post..And yes you are accuarte once again that MSDC is the number 2 holder behind Ranall Kirk...Randall Kirk is number 1 and Michael Dell is #2 ( MSDC LLP is his baby and it's not ugly!)....

Questcor was a great ride and from 3pps to 65pps was my number one holding. I do remember your posts on the QCOR boards and I recall you added a lot of value. Since it would appear we have been betting on the same winning horses, the fact that you are in this equity adds to my confidence level. I have fully loaded the wagon with Syn shares on that nasty pullback as I saw the opportunity as a fire sale. As you know there are not manny Don Bailey type CEO's out there that can take a micro cap to a mid cap in a few years, but we have found another one in Jeff Riley. He is all about moving our pipeline through trials and maximizing shareholder value. Most importantly he is a great deal maker and a great conservationist of working capital and he understands dilution of shares is something he wants to avoid if at all possible.

Michael Dell, Randall Kirk, and now Galagerge....Like I said, Follow the smart money!!

  • A previous poster mentioned Michael Dell and his relationship with MSD capital and the over 2 million shares the own of SYN..MSD capital stand for Michael Saul Dell and this is a firm he started with 400 million that has now grown to over 12 billion dollars. There are several investment arms assoicated with this company who is run by some ex goldman sacks executives and a real estate developer along with 100 employees. One investment arm specializes in equities and currently they only have ownership in 8 companies. There strategy to to find hidden gems and hold them long term for maximum appreciation. Of the 8 companies Synthetic biologics is on that list. As a long term investor one of the many things you need to follow are the quarterly updates on institutional ownership. If the percentages of ownership are going up that is typically a good sign and even more important are the institutions with good track records. MSD Capital has out paced hedge fund averages by 4.5% over the duration of time MSD has been in existence. Although Dell likes to fly under the radar with his investments and does not discuss his personal holdings, he is very active in this firm and he hires the absolute best of the best that help in finding hidden gems.

Once we get the pipeline further along and close to market we will need to eventually add two more chairs in our board room. By that time both of our new board members will have completed their positions in our equity and will become major advisors to Mr. Riley when we become a major profit center.

It is my opinion that Michael Dell and his company is still acquiring shares at these depressed levels in the open market in 50k share increments. We saw a lot of these over the last week at the beginning and the end of trading. It is also my opinon that RJ Kirk and Michael Dell will get the call from Riley at some point in the future to join our boardroom. Major shareholders who both know how to take small companies and make them big.!

No catalyst. It's about a microcap biotech company with a pipeline with billions of dollars of potential revenue that has been under the radar and undervalued that is finally getting some attention. C-Diff is a 12 Billion dollar market in the US alone and there is yet to be a drug to prevent it from occuring during the period that patients are receiving IV antibiotics. The acutal time on drug is only 5 days on average and there are thousands of patients that will sign up for trials as the oral pill has an excellent safety profile.

This is only one of several in the pipeline that can turn this from a 100mm market cap to well in excess of 1BB if just SYN004 is successful. Institutions are also now looking at these plays for growth as large pharma are out with truckloads of cash looking to enrich their pieplines.

The float is very tight so imagine how this thing will run once the company comes out with some news on their progress or a deal with Trimesta. This thing is a powder keg and can go off any day..!

    Market Cap at 100 million

    by mdr0418 Jun 18, 2014 11:49 AM
    mdr0418 mdr0418 Jun 18, 2014 4:44 PM Flag

Randall is an option, but do not dismiss the possibility of a Trimesta deal that is front end loaded. Also remember that the C-diff trial is quick and finding patients in antibiotic IV is like shooting fish in a barrel. Based on their cash on hand and burn rate they are good through this calendar year and Riley is savy and has several levers ready to pull should he need to raise cash. My feeling is he will have private equity on stand by and work on a Trimesta partnership to avoid the dilution to shareholders.

We are in the same ballpark and your take out estimate is closer then mine if you consider a take out toward the end of your time horizon. That is why I want to fly solo as long as possible as I am ultra confident in Riley and his management team to take us to the finish line.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • One of two things will happen within the next 12-24 months. (1) We will be a 1 billion dollar market cap as we execute on our pipeline and successful trials or (2) large phama sees are value and takes us out for a fat premium..Typically they would wait until we prove the science through a successsful phase 2 trial, but they are hungry now and are flush in cash and circling small and mirco phama companies like sharks. Either way we win, but in order to get maximum returns we need to at least see SYN004 through phase 2.. Hopefully we can stay under the radar until Mr. Riley and his team can get the time to execute the business plan. We only need to get through this calendar year and at that time we could be well positioned to command 1 billion on a take out. That would be $16.50 per share in case you were counting..!!

In order to get the maximum reward as a shareholder, we need to allow Mr. Riley to get SYN004 through a successful phase 2. At that point we will be like chum in the water and all the sharks will be circling to either partner up or take us out completely. I don't see the company selling off pipeline assets one at a time. The shareholders are better served by maintaining control off the enitre pipeline through partnerships. If I was big pharma with diminishing patents and pipeline I would be looking at companies like SYN as a way to put some air back in the tires. Ideally they will want to pounce before the company gets to tangled up with partnerships. If we can keep this thing together through a successful phase 2 with SYN004 then are value should reap a market cap of around 1BB in my opinion within the next 18-24 months.

This is why SYN is my number one holding!!

Some interesting action in L2 with someone placing 50k limit order in at 1.61..This was the same action we saw at the close on Tuesday. Someone is stocking up on shares and it would appear it is someone high up in the food chain. Accumulation over the last 5 days and it appears the trend is continuing into today. We are going higher..!! Much higher..!!

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • Large block holders are not going to let go and we are seeing steady accumlation over the last few weeks. A few 50k blocks at the end of trading today are most likely the bigger players working to complete their long positions. With no news we should be double our current market cap on the pipeline and rev potential alone. The 2nd half of this year will be full of news and provide the longs with a rewarding return imo. The train is leaving the station under most of the investors radar screen..Get on the train now or you will be left at the station..

    seems TEVA is a Yes

    by dcoronaus Jun 13, 2014 3:38 PM
    mdr0418 mdr0418 Jun 16, 2014 1:15 AM Flag

This is where many on this board get fixated on Teva. The fact is that any large pharma would gain equal leverage by partnering up with SYN and Trimesta. Yes, Teva no longer their exclusivity, but any company would benefit from being able to compete against a generic Copaxone only. There is not a doctor on the planet that would not prescribe a drug that would enhance the patients quality of life by 50% over a generic Copaxone..There are numerous companies that are in talks with Riley in my opinion. The deal goes to the highest bidder and in the meantime we move forward with our other indications in the pipeline. Every day is a day closer to a deal and every day is a day closer to getting our other indications through phase 2...

We are on the launch pad and the countdown has begun!
