were earnings that bad, does a large holder need out, have insects taken over inventory ... at a time when WY reports decent numbers RYN goes into en epic swoon ... wtfu management ??
Still a puzzle why the natural resources oriented Russians would let a stake go to the Chinese, big and growing users of potash focused on dampening price to feed their billions. The Russians must have some 2nd act in mind that uses turmoil to reinstate their complete ownership.
corporate buyers don't like to be dependent on a sole source, just to keep aaple honest its worth keeping some oxygen in bbry. plus, consumers will eventually tire of being apple cloned.
How can it be good for potash pricing or POT. The Russians have something up their sleeves, and chances are it is to reduce ownership, do everything possible to pressure prices and buy back in at panic lows. The Chinese are already down some 33% on their converted holdings.
the sentiment has shifted so completely negative, it can't be right. BB has a great name w/ solid assets and it ain't goin JCP. Put a big name behind BB and it's easily a $ 12 stock. Nature abhors these vacuums.
what's got into the Russians letting the Chinese buy into their natural resources ... surely there was an oligarch available to buy the position ... that said, nothing more impotent than a minority position ... potash mkt continues short term very volatile particularly considering the Belarus distressed condition.
No one thought this Q would be good, BB is a balance sheet story, that remains intact. The layoff moves and release of news during market hours, 1 week before schedule, seem like terms of a deal.
think getting the bad news out was a condition of a bid that will be public over the weekend. sorry to disappoint, but there is still value there, expect a $ 12 - 15 bid.
just shaking out the shorts will result in a huge surge ... then other bidders are going to have to make sure BBRY does not fall into the wrong hands.
