I doubt Samsung is going to make their phones WATT Up ready. the 1st step to using WATT Up in cell phones will be charging cases. Once the tech is proven then the big boys will make their phones WATT UP enabled.
The 2nd paragraph states that the joint development agreement required quarterly milestones and qualification testing... The JDA was signed back in Feb 2012. Has anybody heard anything about how the JDA is going-milestones-qualification? I can't find boo.....

The IRS targeted conservative groups period. The issue isn't that conservative groups were targeted its that a major government body in power would target ANY political group.
Industry is growing and will continue to expand at higher percentages for the next 10 + years, more than 1 company will benefit hugely (which is why HEX's strategy is to invest huge $s in brick and mortar to build out facilities around the country), QTWW is at the tip of the spear, and the stock will move up over time and the shorts will make some $ on dips. ITS A LONG TERM HOLD AND EASY MONEY.
I've asked the company twice to distill the basic differences between its technology and that of Ossia and have not gotten any responses back. This is ground-breaking technology but the fact it that Ossia has been granted 4 patents and Energous has not yet been granted any patents - THIS IS A RATHER BIG CONCERN.

Surprised I didn't get a response from my post about Cota. Here is the score card as it is known today.
Cota claims they have a device that charges through walls up to 30 feet. Cota is privately held and it seems to be all about 1 guy (Hatem Zeine). They also say they are licensing the tech out but they have not said to who. They also claim to HAVE 4 patents covering their tech (not patent pending).
Energous says that Ossia (owns a product called Cota) HAS 4 patents and that Energous has filed 37 patents . So Energous' patents are pending but Ossia already has 4?
Does Cota have base enabling patents to the tech?
Ossia loudly demonstrates their tech (although bulky) but is quiet as a mouse about who they are currently licensing the tech to. Why? If they were licensing it to a big player I doubt that would stay quiet as there would be rumors in a big way as this is hugely disruptive technology.
Energous went public, is putting together a solid board of directors that includes the co-founder of Broadcom, have signed 2 entities to JDA's (both Korean). Energous says they had a total of 4 MOU's to date so one can only assume that 2 moved from the MOU phase to the JDA stage (the 2 Korean firms). Who are the other 2?
Technologies to date do not compare. With Inductive charging the phone must sit on a pad and the pad must be plugged in. With magnetic resonance the phone must sit within 2 inches of the source which must be lugged in (this is touted as being a "drop and go" charging method allowing for special flexibility - wow 2 inches). MIT stated several years ago using magnetic resonance at larger distances is hugely inefficient.
I have not been able to find a shred of info that big established tech firms are working on a similar method. It seems that Ossia and Energous are the 2 kids on the block that have disruptive technology. WHY THE HELL DON'T OSSIA AND ENERGOUS GET TOGETHER AND ROCK THE WORLD. THE TECH IS SO BIG WHY NOT JOIN FORCES VERSUS COMPETE.
The co-founder of Broadcom Nicolaos G. Alexopoulos is on E's board. Now this guy is/was a billionaire that seemed to have gone a bit crazy and got into securities fraud trouble along with drug issues a while back in 2008. Since then he went back to Broadcom as Vice President for RF Technologies, Antennas and University Relations at Broadcom Corporation. He aint no dummy. Broadcom is an awesome company (understatement) that makes a living embedding other people's tech into chips. With the co-founder of Broadcom who is back with the company (even if it were a somewhat ceremonial job title) and is on E's board its not a stretch at all to assume that one of the MOU's is with them.
The longs need the shorts to do what they do best and knock the stock down so we can all quietly load up. Come on shorts don't let me down!
If they had gone the VC route they would have given up more control. VC's want control in exchange for their $. Going public allows them to raise capital and not seed control.
They say they have 4 MOU's in place right now so you just never know who is on the other end of one of those.
Maybe they don't want to sell. If licensing heats up then this thing blasts off before it even makes the product.
Hey Baldy I heard that! I sold REGI $11.35 are you still in? The news today about replacing a $100 mil letter of credit with senior convertible debt is a pretty inefficient financial arrangement they must have been forced into. I still think REGI is a great company long term. Going to see how this plays out a bit.
