...it is worth, then NOK would have nearly $13B net cash or approx. $3.75 a share in just cash. So at $7.77 the market is saying today that NSN and all the AT/ royalties etc., tax credits/goodwill etc. are only worth $4 per share. On fundamental's, which don't seem to count much for NOK, it is worth at least $10 and IMO really more than $12. Suri really sat on the MSFT cash for too long either vis a vis a serious share buy back, or buying ALU which could/should have been done when it was under $3. That said I think they got a reasonable deal for ALU (nothing near the steal they got on NSN, but Siemen's really only had one company to sell that to, NOK - and yes it was done a bit before MSFT deal, but clearly was related to that including the loan from MSFT to get it done) and if they sell HERE, and get a decent Sammy arb. decision, and ALU sells some assets, and comes through with decent results, than I do think NOK can still be $12 by end of year.
Me too, but I also want a pony for xmas. No way Finland or France would allow that. I should have listened to my own advise vis a vis Suri, and what a feckless, boring company (and country), and running NOK for benefit of Finn gov. etc. and not shareholders.
Well better than just sitting on all that cash, but a serious share buyback would have been MUCH better for NOK holders.
...lose situation where many billions have been wiped out. Where did it go? There should be some serious synergies here, and less bidders in this field should lead to higher prices for contracts. I can see some real positives for NOK here and they do not appear to have way over bid, but at least today and yesterday the market is telling us something is very wrong. How #$%$ must ALU holders be?
...for the past 6 months. NOK is down for a year and a half after having been set up so well by MSFT deal. This sucks.
...at $6, and then went down to a bit below $5. Well thanks for asking and check them out now. Doing a lot better than NOK!
...cash after MSFT deal (before special div. tax giveaway to Finn gov.). and bought back serious shares (say one billion) and also sold HERE and used those funds to buy back more shares, leaving about $2B net cash as a cushion (for smaller, strategic purchases, etc.). NOK would then have less than 2 billion shares out with the same revenues and profits. Earnings per share would be over double and NOK would be trading at about double where it is now, and looking forward to Sammy results, etc. I warned you about Suri!
Isn't that what I have been saying about Suri for months? And didn't you claim (many times) that you knew in Fall 2013 that NOK would not move up-just narrow range- until Samsung arbitration was done in late 2015, (yet you had a "core" position for a year and a half of nothing)? Do you see why you look like a phony and pretentious hypocrite
...that NOK only ends up buying only part of ALU, or if buying all, the price is no more (and hopefully less) than what ALU has now traded up to. And lets hope NOK gets a good price for HERE (over $7B). Would rather see NOK being bought than being a major buyer. We all should have sold NOK in Dec 2013 and bought ALU. Now we know why Suri has not done a real share buyback with all the cash, but we shareholders would be so much better off today if he had.
Cramer is like joshua3xxx, he is a blow hard carnival barker who just makes things up and pretends to know things. Sad and pathetic.
...but to see that kind of immature post from you (more of a fr3nchie post) makes you look very low class. That previous poster is right where he asks you if you realize "how stupid you sound". You do post a lot of bologna, friend.
Someone pointed out that Finland is at least as Socialist as France. And it is always Finland where this stock dives, and US markets that lead it up. Let's hope this "deal" falls apart and NOK only buys part of ALU or just sells HERE (for north of $7B) and then uses the $12B net cash and buys back shares (which should be retired but are indeed "currency" that could be used for JNPR or some reasonable buy out) to reduce outstanding to two billion. Then you would see NOK way up.
...and I hope he (or the Finnish Board which looks out for themselves and Finland) do not play the "patience" card for another two years taking advantage of chump NOK shareholders. If its all of ALU why a premium, why not a merger when ALU does not get a big premium and NOK has to clean up the mess?
I rarely do thumbs but have to agree 100% with this josh post. Buying all of ALU (unless in an near equal deal of selling HERE for around the same amount) is not a good move. You will get a big slow moving utility like company in a low margin business with high fixed costs (French/Finn labor) where have to compete with the Chinese.
bananas500, you are getting as bad as fr3nchie (the girl who has many ids) with your paranoia about aliases. Yes the market knows how to play this and it is sending NOK down and ALU up. Let's hope it is not a complete buyout or else we do have a $7 stock for a long time.
...back in a moment is, well very bad. No faith or respect for NOK and its management. Where is the clown who said HERE worth over $15B and NOK to buy JNPR. He just makes it up as he goes along.
...to over shadow good NOK earnings coming up, and a potential sale of HERE, that could have been a home run. Early in this deal NOK was up as it looked like Suri was changing from feckless and complacent, (just doing nothing with all that cash), and doing something positive for NOK shareholders. But it appears it will be the same old NOK we have had since MSFT deal. This looks very bad if they buy all of ALU. And by the way kids, Finland is way more socialist than France. Maybe that is why MSFT did not want to buy all of NOK, and NOK should not buy all of ALU.
...Samsung arbitration will be done that are just totally made up. Many post about how little of a life fr3nchie has with all his train and food etc posts., but how much time does josh spend on "stories" and typing those long posts? He has said HERE is worth at least $15B, but that then puts the rest of NOK at under $15B less $5B cash for under $10B for all of NSN, and the AT/patents, etc. Yet he writes the Jan 2016 $10 calls are not a good play. Makes no sense.
So you don't realize that Finland is, for all intents and purposes, and by your definition, a Socialist country? Do you not think that in the MSFT deal many jobs were required to stay in Finland?
