Sorry little chicken I do not know Klimski but there are numerous people on this board that agree with me that NOK has been a terrible stock for a long time because those are simply the facts. And what's with your homophobic stuff, and so what if I were gay? Yes I call you a liar and fool because your posts prove that and you are consistently wrong about NOK, But by making sexual (or racial, etc.) comments (the truth about you can not know) you really show what a low class, ignorant individual you are. To the Jersey shore guy, no, but direct waterfront property in Connecticut, so you are not too far off at least on location. Hey count those thumbs, chump.
Well that is a pretty meaningless point, but if one is desperate like you then they have to pick a date that works for them., as calender year (barely) does here for you If a stock goes from $10 to 30 in a calender year but you don't sell and it then drops to $2 on Jan 2, are you happy with your results? . I can only wish I had been short (or out) NOK this past year, but am only long in shares and options. I still think it is very undervalued which makes its terrible (except in your fantasy world) performance for over a year now harder to take. Do you even know what being disingenuous means? You certainly lose all your arguments on the merits.
...pick dates to come up with a tiny 20 cent or so year gain for NOK . With any stock if you cherry pick pick a date, or even time of day, you can make it look good. How is NOK doing from Dec 2013 high ($8.50 plus) to now? How about from 2010 until now? Dow is up over 200 now and yet NOK still down 14 cents even after yesterday's drop. Hey chump, explain that away. You are not just a chump and loser but a liar and bad person, with your schadenfreude-( you and your frenchie will have to look that one up). When you still held NOK at $8.73 last summer did you think it would be down so much now? Are you capable of being honest?
sydney, thnaks for the answer BUT they sure have not bought back many shares (and gave those to execs. hence the increase share count) and wasn't the MSFT $2B NSN loan part of the net cash they had before MSFT purchase of devises? Something very wrong with this company as it really does get no respect from the market.
Well they got $7.5B from MSFT deal and had net cash before deal of something like $3B , so approx.r $10B net cash then minus $2B for div (really $1.8B) for $8B but plus the two q's of $500mil. earnings for plus $1Bl. $ so that would seem to be $9B net cash. So where did the missing $3 or 4B cash go if they only have $5B cash ??? Yes they paid off a little debt but that should alread be reflected in net. They certainly have not bought back many shares.
That's the main problem is they are not buying shares. If they had used 1/2 to 3/4 of their cash to buy back shares (and showed a little confidence in company) NOK would be trading MUCH higher now. They are actually increasing shares out to reward poor execs. who have sat back and watched shares drop for over a year.
bananas500, you are being disingenuous. Yes NOK went up 100% in a 6 month period but in the 14 months since it is down. And in the numerous years before that MSFT deal window NOK was down something like 90%. So NOK has been a terrible stock for most of last decade, (for you long term investors). If NOK were up 20 cents today instead of being down I would be happy with the small gain, but point that with the way NOK was set up by MSFT it should already be over $10. I am long but unlike the management apologists can admit that I was wrong in believing in NOK and buying more after the brief run up, (which I benefited from greatly) I may soon have to sell off much as am really losing faith in this management's ability. Suri should not be CEO but head of just NSN.
...thumbs up or down. He just referred to some other poster getting 20 red thumbs (little chicken, no one but you is so pathetic as to even pay them any attention to them, much less count them). I don't use them but if I did obviously you would get them from me so you can add those to your running total (do you use your aliases' to give them also?) Grow up dude.
frenchie, I don't even know who groovinirvan is, does he post here? Are you happy with another drop on NOK? Happy with all the shares out and rewarding management with more free shares at our expense? You and YOUR aliases) are either employees of NOK or just too dumb and dishonest to admit you have been wrong.
flamer- I am certainly not farhan, but he has been more right than the board apologists and butt girls. What words are you referring to? I taught frenchie the word feckless, (which is apropos to NOK management),does farhan use that?
....word that means he has not bought NOK for over a year so must not have any faith in the company. Also means he did not sell any when it was much higher as many of us did to book profits. I did have faith in NOK (and am honest unlike the butt girls) and bought calls with strikes at $8, $10 and even $12 (the later two still have until Jan 2016 and I did not pay very much for them- I can lose on all of them and still be way up over all on NOK from purchases in 3's which I booked big multiples on) so I am disappointed by the poor performance. Its not what you made in the past but what it has done for you recently, (hey some made a ton on Enron) .How pathetic and insecure must the little chicken be to have post of his fantasy gains (ahead on all positions!! ) here.
....should be more concerned about how wrong he has been on NOK and all the money he has lost. Truly pathetic how many times he has posted this morning (well with all his aliases even more). A loser of a person.
...so I can pick up more shares. Thank you for yet another (about the 100th in the past year) buying opportunity. And hey instead of a real share buy back they are adding.shares, lets hope we can get the share count above 5 billion. Come on butt girls (joshau3xx, frnch3, littlechickenfool, etc.) let's hear your support for our shy management driving the share price down like we want.
urban- And that's what I mean by feckless (the word I recently taught french3) as while being so complacent is also incompetent, I do not consider Suri, etc. incompetent vis a vis technology or all aspects of running NOK. They just, like Finland as a nation, are used to being pushed around, reserved and quit and do not realize that PR and rising share price is a big part of their job. As for long term play, well I consider a year plus to be down in a good (until recently) market to be long term. If they did not have that $9B (or whatever) for that year it would be another matter, but with NOK now so much smaller due to sale of devices, and so much cash, they really should have bought back considerable shares, (or done a major acquisition) instead of keeping the number so incredibly high and collecting really nothing (not even out of junk debt status!) for the cash. Bad move! And down today on huge volume going into earnings??
Well bananas, we do have about $9B net cash that could be and could have been used for share buy backs, investments, etc. instead of just sitting on it. This NOK management has sat back allowed Ferragu and Bernstein to manipulate us. Again, I just want to make money on NOK and for the past year plus that has been hard to do.
...that a stock has performed poorly does not mean one is not happy with life over all. Actually it is pathetic that you spend so much time on this board with you train trip to $20 (how's that working out?) etc. and perhaps that shows that you do not have a life. Actually, thanks for your concern but I am doing well overall. Hey I just spent a month in Cuba, which was great. Yes, I am not happy with how poorly NOK has done for over a yea,r and its very poor use of its cash and over all situation. NOK management has let us down.
...year plus I can be honest and admit that I was wrong by being bullish on NOK and that Ferragu has made a fool of NOK management and its butt girls .
