16% ??, dhurfresh you are stupid! By "16 bagger" I meant (as the term means) 16 times. Those NOK options I had before buyout went from about $800 to over $12K. A 16% return from options is not much., (you expect more than that for the risk taken w/ options). I had many other NOK options too, just not as much as 16 times. You do not know much about investing (or speculating) do you? That's why you are happy with 8% up for a year (well down now I guess) and with Suri. IDIOT!
"Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you tomorrow, its only a day away" NOK has let us down for a year and only MSFT and Elop did any good for share holders. The Finns!!!
They need to do a major share buy back with all the cash they have. Sitting on $8B plus that earns 1% or so does us no good and shows how poor management is. They have bought back precious few shares and gave many of those to NOK execs., whom have done nothing to earn them this past year. Any options for NOK execs. should be priced at above $10 so they have to get share price up to earn them. NOK has done nothing for a year and we clearly have weak feckless management!
....management is. What stock takes a hit like this on its capital markets day after having been so weak for so long? Just sitting on a ton of cash earning 1% with so many shares outstanding!.
Anything disappointing is possible with Nokia.
...if you're happy with only an 8% return, then you are a small time tool whom should be in funds. I am looking for (and often get, hey I had a 16 bagger on some NOK options last year) returns way above that. So far the market has not shown much respect for Suri, but lets hope that changes soon. With NOK's cash, patents, technology, NSN, etc., and with the market at all time highs, NOK should easily be above $10 by now. Can anyone tell me what good sitting on all that cash has done for NOK, only earning 1% or so, with so many shares outstanding? The share buyback should have been MUCH bigger.
Who? Ike Batista was the richest man in Brazil a couple of years back and predicted on CNBC that he would soon pass Gates and Slim and be richest in the world. Then things went south.
Bernstein is French? I don't think so, (I may be wrong) but Pastafagu may be and he certainly has an agenda and is usually wrong. That's why it gets me so mad that he can do a hatchet job on NOK and drive it down a bit when institutions, Blackrock, etc., and NOK itself, should just buy all the shares they can at these low levels and prevent that.
Yahoo is truly terrible. If not for Alibaba they would be trading at about $5. Marissa Meyers is the luckiest girl in the world.
Maybe that you don't know proper English grammar and use "your" when you should use "you're". I suppose a tool like you will be happy if NOK is up 5% a year from now, I want it up 20% by end of 2014, and it should already be over $10,.
....$10B or so net cash has done NOK while they have so many shares outstanding and have really bought back only a relative very few? If one backs out the value of NSN and royalties, and only applies a very low PE for them, then NOK is given just about zero value for the cash and Here. And why does NOK have a PE of 8 while ERIC has one of 20?
bonzo6, if that sell some is directed to me, I have sold a lot of shares and options by this time last year. My complaint is how very little new Nokia (it is a different company) has done for nearly a year now.
Will it be NOK at $6 like Pasta Fagu says?
Clown 15% was just to the Finns, You still will have to pay Uncle Sam. And Scottrade is a real brokerage. Idiot!
Hey I did buy under, and in, the 3's, and made a lot of money. but that was a year ago and I wish I sold it all then, and did not buy more since. For the last year NOK has been a waste. And what gets me mad is it is a totally different company from when it was $3 and I made a decision that at $8 the new company was a great buy, and it has really let me down. And I do see this Finnish management as feckless and way too conservative. The buy back has been a joke. Remember Lee Stoller and NOK to $20 by 2015. (or was she saying 2014)? Well I thought we would at least be $12 by now.
....happy with very small, if any, NOK gains for a year now, and think they are buying back shares when they are really buying back only a relative tiny amount, and giving many of them to execs. NOK share price has been a disaster and they need to buy back about 50 times the shares they have been. Put about $7 bil. towards a real share buy back, i.e. a Dutch auction. NOK management, and you lackeys, are making Ferragu and the shorts look good.
Really, because most of us had 30% tax taken right off the top, with much of that going to Finnish gov. At any rate NOK shares have been a dismal performer for way too long now.
...we had to expect a 12 cent pull back. This stock is very disappointing and they really need to do something with the way too many shares out, and all the cash that just sits there earning NOK very little and giving them nothing in share value credit.
....great news and results gets us just a few pennies? Buy back way more shares NOK!!!
