I notice that we seem to have a big buyer or several accumulating shares. This is a consistent pattern well above the ask that's current at the time of purchase. This seems to be occurring on a regular daily basis. It could be a mutual fund or institutional portfolio where these guys come back after coffee, mid-morning to execute the buys being discussed. At the time of their transaction it causes a new daily high. This has been driving the price higher in a Bid/ask order balance that has a very large spread and much larger for any significant amount of shares over 1,000. If they are paying a premium over the existing market - they are not day trading, IMHO. They are accumulating to possibly meet my objective for the teens some time this summer.

  • Got to look at it on a regular arithmetic scale. My charting software with Schwab software put its chart on a log scale. Big difference!

  • This can turn out to be a 10 bagger. Right now I have a double on my IRA position. This looks like it can reach its all-time high over 40. And the distributions will be more than I need for my retirement. I bought a few shares yesterday @ 8.51. Check the tape to see how many I got, LOL.

    Sentiment: Buy

8 handel reached yesterday on 100 shares, LOL. CLF is up strong pre-market - I expect MSB to follow.

Looks like its happening. Today's report may have attracted some buying. AS predicted, it will gain with increased volume. This seems to have started. When we start seeing 4-5K blocks trading we can possibly see an 8 handle before the close.

I notice the low volume these past few days - shows that traders are fairly well positioned. I expect the breakout again will be very dynamic with $.25-$.50 jumps per day initially and followed by possible daily advances to exceed $1 until the mid-teens are reached. I will only watch it and may sell if it starts to exceed 10% of my total portfolio. Any good positive fundamental news or an analyst upgrade could do it.

The late February breakout took it to close to a double in very few days. The extending trading range is forming a nice base here in March and if a similar breakout materializes, it should take it into the mid-teens. This, if similar to the previous one, will occur very fast leaving investors waiting for more solid fundamental news saying "I wish I had bought."

    Sentiment: Hold

  • Looks like a cup and handle completion possibly by tomorrow. A breakout to the 12 level could then complete in less than 6 months.

    Sentiment: Hold

  • Just read insider monkey report on CLF With mining to go full blast soon - expect large EOY distribution. If it comes I expect at least a double in MSB share price by next year and possibly a triple with low to mid-20's within 3 years. http://www.insidermonkey.com/blog/what-has-investors-excited-about-these-5-stocks-today-442838/

Scrap is in short supply. Cars are lasting longer than they used to and the rate of auto accidents have declined.

I am cautious too. To gain more confidence - look at the charts for the steel producers. US Steel is showing a steady rise.

  • Most shares are held by small investors. They have been burnt by the discontinuance of distributions and have sold their shares down to as low as $2. I believe this situation will drastically change. Who has the influence in MSB trading? Is it the shorts? The short interest days to cover is now probably less than 2-3 days even with the low volume. Is it the insiders? They own substantially less than 1% of the float – Is it the institutions? According to yahoo stats they hold 16.4% of the float.
Some anticipation had brought the share price back up above $6 from the resumption announcement of mining by CLF that will restart in May. This is only the beginning of the share price rise, IMHO.
If steel prices continue their rise and production of the IO pellets for electric arc furnace customers increases – we may see a full capacity mining operation with 2-3 years. I can’t predict the ultimate rise in the price for these shares – but sincerely believe it should get back into the teens within 1-2 years at more than a double and possibly eclipse it’s all time high with inflation within 10 years.
Analyst following the investment worthiness of this is almost non-existent and certainly would see a great boost if any positive analysis is ever published.
This is something to pass along to your friends but please do not consider this as a recommendation to buy. Do your own due diligence and tell me what you think.

Millionaires got that way from making wise investments. None got that way from bragging about shorting MSB.

The largest one stock holding position for me at one time hit as high as $6 million for me. That level only lasted one hour. People were dumping it at $.10. It got up as high as $6+. This MSB I believe has the same potential. With losses over the years - I'm still in multi-million dollar status.

Last October was the first year in 25 that there was not a regular October Distribution
The following table shows the distribution averages per quarter and average for the year.
    January $0.28
    April $0.13
    July $0.27
    October $0.37
    Total $1.04

The future prospects are far greater than the recent past. I, however, need to protect myself from potential loss. (Any investment has the potential for a total loss) However, with the ability to accept a total loss in my lifetime, within the next 45 years (estimated future duration of the trust) assuming a modest return to making distributions even if only half as good as the recent 25 years, the valuation of these shares should exceed $20. MSB's prospects assumes the steel manufacturing business will continue on the Great Lakes, The probability of that happening is less than the ability of the sun to rise tomorrow morning, LOL. If I am right on the positive assumption, this will be the creation of my next million $.

With the current decline in the industry - I do not expect any distribution to be reported for April.
