  • pipeline. I did not know that wind power in India and Mexico account for 66% of the renewable energy market there. We know about India's commitment to add 100 GW of solar power by 2022 but they have also committed to adding an ADDITIONAL 60GW of WIND power. Mexico is targeting 9.5 GW by 2018 and 15GW by 2022. SUNE has the greatest opportunity to draw the bulk of orders on those projects with their extensive power portfolio and industry-leading technology. The author of the article does mention the amount of debt that SUNE is taking on to acquire these projects and then drop them down to TERP to increase the CAFD, but also says that the most recent acquisition of Invenergy for $2 billion is IMMEDIATELY ACCRETIVE, and the standard metrics of debt to equity really can not be applied since the yieldco model is very different from a standard model. I believe that SUNE will bounce hard just like it did a few months ago when the CEO Chatila was on CNBC saying that the company was 25% UNDERVALUED AT THIS SAME PRICE LEVEL with LOWER pipeline and installation estimates than we have now. This selldown is extremely overdone and will reverse. As an aside---I wonder if the lower stock price makes SUNE a more attractive takeover target by a major conventional energy player---or even GE, which had takeover rumors circulating in the past?

I think a 30% haircut is a bit overdone considering the forecast and pipeline not only have not changed, but were increased by 50% for 2016.

You are TOTALLY off base. SUNE and it's management have laid out the most solid plans EVER for the next 36 months, RAISED their guidance for 2016 by 50%, have a MINIMUM of 4GW of installations and pipeline in the forecast for 2017 compared to just 1GW for the most recent year, and India committed to 100GW of solar power by 2022-----and NOW you say the stock is grossly overbought??? You are about as far from reality as you can be. And while the IPO price of GLBL came in a little below expectations---that is the INITIAL price and acquisitions and drop-downs will bring the price up---and the cash flow to SUNE. Other than that---the CEO and the company have been revealing nothing but positive surprises including moving into power storage and residential in a BIG way with the Vivint purchase. The irrational revaluation of the company and LUDICROUS drop in the stock price will provide a PHENOMENAL BUYING OPPOTUNITY as the value, size, and global position of the company continue to rise.

I always say that if you think the funds are laying games to accumulate shares, then the best strategy is to do the same thing. That would be to BUY here while the stock is still nearly $1 BELOW the secondary price and where Bridger bought 150,000 MORE shares BEFORE the secondary at $8.75. Remember, they also bought 300,000 shares at $6.50 AFTER the last offering which was $2 ABOVE the offering price------and those were voluntary buys. They KNOW TROV is headed mush higher again.

I will be honest and say that since I more than doubled my position since the secondary, I would take $16 right now. But---as the price of the stock rises so will the value of the company, it's technology and patents, and the buyout price. I do think Illumina is a very good fit----as well as Sequenom.

You are right. And "regular Joes" probably shouldn't be in speculative biotechs-----and no one should be in any stock without doing their own research. The key is to find out which stocks to research---and make a good decision based on that.

Thank you for your rational assessment. The stock market and the investing mentality have a way of twisting the emotions in all different directions. When your investments are going up everything is great and then when the tide turns(and it always does) then the worst can come out. I prefer to be an optimist---and that, for the most part, has worked out very well for me especially during the less enjoyable times when things may seem to be a little darker and dour. My sentiments are my own, but there are a few posters here that seem to share much of what I believe, and you know who you are. When it comes to the other stocks that I post about, those posts, again, are meant to be informative and thought provoking, but by no means can ANY of us KNOW what any given stock is going to do. It was a bit of a rough day today with SUNE, for instance, and there was no way to foresee the drop that has occurred over the past week with the stock sliding from $33 down to $23---and just before that began, Credit Suisse RAISED their price target to $45 from $42 based on SUNE's acquisition of Vivint and S&P IQ raised their target also. So why did the stock drop? Who knows---but that's what the market did! Thank goodness that IDRA had a decent day to keep me relatively close to even. But ANYTHING can happen. Same with TROV. One day chugging along and hitting a high in the $13's with nothing but positive press and then they announce a secondary and the stock is in the $8's. Talk about an emotional roller coaster. Add to that IDRA running up into the $4's and then dropping right back to where it was-----WHY? Who knows. But since I am an optimist I can see those stocks rising back to their previous levels AND IDRA hitting new highs fairly soon. Again---my sentiments-----and THAT is the way I invest. Have a good weekend everyone. Better times ahead.

I think that's a great idea! Better trademark and copyright it before I do. And---by the way-----the best way to make the most money in the stock market is to take advantage of tremendous buying opportunities. Like IDRA in the $2's or TROV in the $3's-----or SUNE around $24---when the fundamentals of those companies have not changed and are improving every day. Someone once said :"be greedy when others are fearful". And another very good expression that everyone knows is Buy low and sell High. Those 3 stocks right now may be as low as they are going to get.

  • of what we can expect as we move closer and closer to the 8400 results. The spike higher last week was very exciting and I'm sure it raised everyone's hopes(at least the longs) for what is to come. And I WILL say it again---the 2125 trials with MD Anderson will be enrolling and commencing very shortly, and last year no one ever would have imagined that a melanoma trial in combination with a checkpoint inhibitor would be anything that Idera would be involved with. Not only that, but there has been agreeing evidence from PCYC that checkpoint inhibitors and TLR agonists provide robust and significant anti-cancer response. We may also have a partnership announcement at some point prior to ASH involving 9200. But---the biggest event, of course, is the WM data. As JP Morgan has said, since their has been no reports of complete response with ibrutinib, ANY patients that show complete response will be an outright GRAND SLAM for 8400 and could revolutionize the treatment and prognosis for many of these patients and n many other forms of cancer. Onward and upward!

I added another 1000 this morning at $7.64 myself. I have added 12,000 shares since the secondary announcement with my cost average at around $8.45. Not worried at all. Whether by company growth and widespread adoption of TROV's test platforms or by buyout, I expect the stock to run up into the $20's within 12-18 months. At $20 the market cap would still only be $600 million. A pittance for this technology.

Can you elaborate on exactly what management has done that you are upset with? Do you mean that establishing a partnership with MD Anderson is not a good idea? Do you mean that looking to partner 9200 in IBD is not a good idea? Do you mean that starting trials in Duchenne's and dermatomyositis in this half of the year are not good initiatives? Or do you mean just because the stock is where it is? And you know that the stock price is within the Bollinger Band channel.
