Hmmm, you see $19 rapidly approaching, and so you double down on your short and keep hitting the bid in hopes to suppress the price and hope longs dump. With much higher prices anticipated and valid analysts recognizing over a billion in future revs (higher with off label use), and a possible buyout or offer, why do you not take your losses and move on to something else? You fall in love with your position here?....lol. The drop this morning did not hold, but I guess you will keep on trying and trucking along.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

Not the only price mover to come. Huge news on Friday with EU (to be) approved drug, and good pipeline validator on Sat. Still quite inexpensive for the company and don't forget how many shares RJ Kirk has. Who knows, maybe he orchestrates another $2 billion takeover giveaway like he has done so many times in the past....would not want to be caught short like with ONXX.

No position here lately, but the timing could all be coincidence, due to FD (Fair Disclosure) per SEC rules. Not saying they knew earlier today or last night, but not likely that long ago....and it takes some time to form a PR response. However, if it was bad, some will point fingers for sure! I bet it is good news though and if so, and the price does not rise too much in pre-market on Mon, I will buy in. Sure wish they had allowed more time for speculators to jump back in, with at least one big toe....lol. Good luck to those of you with a personal stake here, and most important the patients!

Just looked at Ameritrade and the volume scan shows 'average volume' so nothing out of the ordinary. Must be follow the leader or just certain bios are being raided or profit taking. I did add a few K shares and will be drooling if it falls further. Thanks!

Never would have thought it would go back to this level right here. Oh what a blessed gift for those wanting to add - it's like many suddenly are negative, and they have no clue just how big this drug will be, and get lucky with that at this moment. Incredible!

  • michael_d_angelo by michael_d_angelo Jun 25, 2013 11:49 AM Flag

It is silly that several analysts project upward sales of over $3 billion on Pima, yet parasite shorts can have their way (temporarily) - about time for another upgrade about now! Bet Baker Bros and others are buying more...imo.

just way overdue for a big bounce here. Nothing has changed and there is still immense appreciation for the Pima drug and the company. I doubt the price would get much cheaper for the huge potential there is, but if it does drop much more, I will be ready to pounce!

  • michael_d_angelo by michael_d_angelo Jun 25, 2013 10:26 AM Flag

Why the huge selling all of sudden last 30 minutes? It's like buyers get out of way and then sellers come in to sell for an hour, and then buyers will rush in and buy it up again I guess. Very odd, and definitely no bad news. Did Baker get all the shares they wanted for the pending buyout or partnership or other good news to come? NDA filing will be much sooner than expected, so don't be on the sidelines!

    TRIAL DATA in 6 - 12 MONTHS !

    by joynlight77 Jun 20, 2013 3:03 PM

Should be good data updates next month I believe on the 3 phase II studies. And of course potential partnership news. Only pause I had recently in my positive thinking was the Old Dominion research of using immunopulse with 'other' cancer drugs like PD1 and such. Was that just an odd timing coincidence to add that so soon? Surely they would not have any bad news on the IL-12 drug to have to add this other therapy research so early, I am guessing.

    Anyway, still huge potential here...imo.

Wowee, was holding up well until the last hour or so....why anyone sell now? Great company, excellent drug near approval, much cash on hand, no debt, and high potential takeover candidate....don't sell all now!

  • michael_d_angelo michael_d_angelo Jun 18, 2013 10:25 AM Flag

Never have quite understood the term 'pump & dump' - however, if someone is excited about a stock one day thinking long term, and they suddenly obtain a big gain the next day, they may sell some stock. The biggest reason to sell is the 'shotgun' approach by short sellers that short everything! So, don't blame the pumpers, blame the dumpers....the shorts! The good story can remain the same, just that traders and MMs exploit the stocks....imo. If you love the story, hold on and avg in, or just don't buy bio if you cannot handle the heat.

Basher message posted to create fear hoping you sell. Market makers drop down price to pick up stop losses.....here we go again, same place, same play, just like the other day! Green before close is my bet.

Shorty message Translation "PLease sell now and drop the price a few bucks, so I can buy some(many) cheap call options to cover my huge losses!" - It's the pause that refreshes, and the price should resume its climb in no time!

No need for FDA allow anything off label - a physician can write an Rx for any indication he/she sees fit. Many drugs have made more off label than on. And easier for a pill to get around insurance woes for off label than some immensely expensive injectable!

Just my opinion, but 'stupid' people selling - long term thinking! Opening was analyst who is keen on potential revs on Pima including label and off-label will be huge, and you might get a buyout offer, from the likes of Lilly who lost another drug candidate this week.

While the board clown is laughing hysterically cause he needs his meds (don't worry ACAD will deliver them in not too long of time), I wonder was the chatter nearly the same when CELG, REGN, MDVN, BIIB, and other presently multi-billion market cap companies where of similar price and analysts and shareholders were excited about the future of the company? Sure. I am surprised that the price did not rise over $20 and stay there, but in due time it will ~~~ only people selling are the sellers/daytraders without the guts to hold. I cannot imagine any long with common sense and patience would sell a single share now. Gutsy call by JMP, but they will not be the last to see a much higher price, and the price targets will continue to rise....imo. Could be great news to watch for next week too!

Every time we get a big pop, some psycho nutjob poster panics and post over & over with the hahahas and the LOLs. Why else? cause he/she is nervous and hoping we too will panic and sell. Confident shorters like Carl Icahn would just keep quiet....you know?

Excellent! Can also find topic if you search $ACAD on twitter ~ wondering, at what price will shorts cover today? Could be a jump up into the twenties today.

Well, no problem. I did not buy in the $2s but much lower than the teens, so was not too concerned, and I had about 50 or so $9 puts in case anything drastic occured. Many times those close to the money puts are too cost expensive. One strategy if a quick buyout was not looming, may have been to sell some near term calls and buy some oom July calls maybe (if you did not want to chance parting with shares near term) might have been the call at $20 - I just lose too often on options myself. GL!
