Apple seen as a bargain ahead of iPhone 6 launch
August 18, 2014, 1:55 PM ET
analyst Amit Daryanani at RBC Capital Markets.
We believe multiple catalysts remain as the company benefits from: 1) iPhone 6 ramps; 2) iPad refresh cycle; 3) potential iTV launch or other major product lines; and 4) improvements in capital allocation policy.Daryanani expects Apple to sell 65 million iPhone 6 between its launch in September and December but it may be able to sell as many as 75 million units on the novelty factor of iPhones with larger screens. He also believes Apple will set a new record and sell 10 million iPhones in the first weekend after the new models go on sale. Last year, Apple sold 9 million units the first weekend after the newest models hit the shelves.
Apple is widely expected to unveil two new devices–one with a 4.7-inch screen and another with a 5.5-inch display–at an event on Sept. 9.Daryanani rates the stock at a buy with a price target of $110
So damn frustrating
Oh shut up the CHL mobile chairman said that they must be on AAPL first batch of iPhone 6 that says that most of the subsidy will be cut from the piece of garbage GS5 made by shamescan
Oh shut up you must skipped the words of CHL mobile Chairman hw said without any doubts they must be in the first batch of the iPhone 6 you read ENGLISH? MUST BE IN THE FIRST BATCH if so most of the subsidy hould be cut from the piece of garbage GS5 no one buys this plastic garbage and with AAPL having to offer a 4.7" phone with the same money why subsidize the garbage so let us cut there and offer the most attractive original smartphone in the world iPhone 6 and not a stolen piece of garbage Mi stolen by Xiaomi who is CEO prayed for Steve Jobs death no one in the world except china should buy their stolen iPhone design
The CHL chairman said that CHL must be in the iPhone 6 first batch that says subsidies for the plastic GS5 will be cut and I think that says that they prefer aapl over shamescam they would prefer to cutthe subsidy to that phone rather than the new iPhone. That spells huge demand coming in order for the chairman who for 6 years refused to sell iPhone. Justice will be served for shamescam
Get a live instead of writing your garbage here. Please do explain what did Goog invented in the last few years? A pair of glasses that no one needs or wants. What did AMZN invented stealing the idea of tablet or phone? Selling Books? Did MSFT invented something since the Windows or the Xbox? Market share is one big b***S cause AAPL takes 80-90% of profit without a market share leading and what counts is the bottom line how much you earn So please do yourself a favor and shut up/
Those costs have eroded profitability, with China Mobile today reporting its fourth-straight drop in quarterly net income. The State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission told carriers to cut costs because they overspent on subsidies and advertising for devices such as Apple Inc.’s iPhone, people familiar with the matter said last month. Any reductions may make phones like Samsung Electronics Co.’s Galaxy S5 more expensive in the world’s largest market,” Bloomberg reports. “Even as it cuts spending, Apple ‘must’ still make the carrier one of the first to offer the next iPhone when it’s released, China Mobile Chairman Xi Guohua said today. ‘It’s a must for us to be in the first batch,’ Xi said in Hong Kong. ‘China Mobile has a huge user base. Apple also greatly values China Mobile’s market in China.'”
