There is no emotional attachment. It's just shocking how ridiculous it is that shorts were effictively able to kill a stock.
to get it on the cheap.
I don't think people are interested in newspapers period.
or intentionally late to get a cheap sale and 50 million for that Snake heins
Originally I thought there was a backout penalty for Fairfax... just goes to show that the board is #$%$ #$%$
True, but neither is this "If Fairfax backs out of the agreement, BlackBerry will owe the Toronto-based insurance company a fee of 30 cents per share, or about $157 million.:"
It could make sense to Google, because it could open the door wide to corporate and government contracts. BB10 basically runs Android as it is. If you married the two I think it would make Android better, and it would make BB10 better. That is all I was saying.
And besides and aquisition would get them access to the Nortel Patents that Apple and Microsoft currently have by way of buying BBRY.
It's not that far fetched.
In all seriousness 11 Billion for Motorolla was a waste.
If you want to be that guy with his hands over his ears and blinders on, go ahead.
I guess the way things are is the way they'll always be.
I'm not delusional. I'm just making suggestions. And I suggested that google would make BB10 shine. Android once had 0% of the market as well. But then they gave it away for free.
Android has its drawbacks. Namely Google doesn't make any $$$ from the OS itself. And because of the level of Malware and lack of security governments and corporations are reluctant to use it.
BB10 would look real good, as in better than android, with a Google paintbrush. The canvass is bigger.
it's not as if stocking Blackberry phones a T-Mobile would have made a difference.
you're an idiot.
Just because cash went from $3.1 Billion to $2.6 Billion doesn't mean Blackberry burnt 500 Million in cash.
Have you ever heard of deferred revenue? Or perhaps asset allocation? Or even inventory reconciliation?
The loss is a write down for Z10 inventory, hopefully those devices end up in consumers hands now for hefty discounts. And because of that you might see a resurgence.
The stock market is about excess. Boats and Jets and Mansions.
Not about feeding your family.
People don't trade stock to feed their family. If they do they are reckless kunts
