Cover your short, book profits, and walk away. This is an elaborate short trap orchestrated by Prem Watsa. Blackberry doesn't need to sell phones to be profitable.
Twitter has a 25 Billion dollar market cap with less than a Billion in revenue. There is no such thing as "fair market value"
it's all based on conjecture and hype.
No. I bought BBRY last year under $10 and sold over $18.
And I'll do it again. Just watch me
Yeah, they'd sooner spend $500 million a year on R & D (almost as much as Apple) than blow it all on advertsing. Blackberry will come back because everyone is expecting them not to,.
I didn't say that at all. I am saying that there is money to be made in Business sevices, telematics and messaging.
If you have patience, most of the time you'll end up on the right side of every trade.
How can you say smart money is moving out when A) There is next to no volume and B) Short interest keeps rising?
Blackberry was able to sell many many phones as well, but their sales dropped off because the smartphone industry is reaching or has already reached climax. The downside will come, as it does with all bubbles.
Blackberry's has already burst.
There are signs. There are a few canaries in the coal mine. Big time correction coming. I see the down under 10,000 in 6 months.
I see Blackberry as a contrarian play
Volume is nothing. There is nobody selling down here.
I am almost certain that Earnings will reveal a company that is struggling, but by no means non-existent. I expect the stock to trade over $8 immediately after earnings.
I think there is going to be a downturn in sales for all OEMs. Blackberry, however, will not see a difference because they have already made steps to re-orient the business towards service.
Perception will change. The iPhone is boring.
I could see them posting a profit, because they've already written off a billion worth of Z10 inventory and are now selling them unlocked with no contract for $199.
And people are buying them. Cause it's a dynamite device.
This stock is going to yield me a 200% gain by mid next year,
I see the product. I use it everyday. And they have a good product right now. They will rise from the ashes and conquer again.
Thanks. I see no discernable difference between an iPhone and a Blackberry. Infact I think the current line of Blackberry phones is better than Apple.
You know what happens when one tech company sells well and the other loses market share? They become complacent. Apple is complacent and they will cede marketshare back to blackberry in the coming years.
Shorts just keep shorting more. Trying to get people to sell... But guess what.
So short interest keeps climbing. In the face of Pentagon news, growing adoption to BES and the closing of the app gap.
I'm afraid that there is much more room on the upside than the downside.
This message board seems to attract people with little logic
BBRY also went up 200% at one point in the last 12 months. I think its easy to accept that its hugely volatile.
Also that stock (DAL) is up over 100% this year. It's going to fall hard some day.
