Not sure...but I'm back in at 27.85 with another 200 shares. I think we're near the floor, so I'll collect some more divvy till we recover. GLTA (except for that annoying pest Joey Bananas who even though he is on ignore is constipating this message board with his incessant SPAM)
Just reported. He paid $28.64 a share for 500K shares on top of the 1.1 million shares he recently bought on the open market. I guess I'll hold my measly 1500 for a while longer.
Yes. I bought 900 shares at an average of $10 a share a few years ago. I foolishly rode it down through some sort of weird reverse split a couple of years ago. I didn't sell any shares and now only have 204 shares. I still don't understand how this was calculated.
Agreed. This POS has gone straight down since I bought it. I bought it on impulse, rather than DD. Can't wait to dump it at the first opportunity
Here's a good one. Bloomberg story about how a McMoran lnvestor is suing Freeport for its low bid. Maybe this buyout not such a bad investment after all.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Yeah, I know. Goldman Sachs is most unethical firm on the street. I use them as a reverse barometer and have made a lot of money doing the opposite of what they advise.
As you can see, the market has tanked in general and Verizon has taken a hit along with everything else. Verizon is just doing something refreshingly old-fashioned in the business world: Building, investing and positioning for the future rather than raping and running. Patience over a longer time frame will be richly rewarded.
Seems to me kind of strange to talk about negative 2008 guidance on a day like today when the markets are going gaga. Seems like someone at stz really wants to drive this stock lower.
