Looks like "quiet time" starting up again for the next 5 weeks. Hopefully we get a pleasant surprise BEFORE the 10Q! I'd like to see the PPS back where it was last summer before this summer. Would definitely be a "warm fuzzy" for some of us!
I was looking at articles that mention both companies and found this:
In June Medtronic had joined hands with Samsung to provide seamless, timely access to diabetic data for patients as well as their care givers. The companies aimed at co-developing a mobile app for Samsung users, which will offer useful insulin pump and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) information. We believe the latest tie-up with Samsung reflects Medtronic’s faith in the former and management’s expectation to gain substantially from the deal.
Another company treading the same path as Medtronic is Nephros, Inc. Nephros initiated a strategic collaboration with Biocon 1, LLC, a commercial water purification company, in Nov 2015. Per the deal, Nephros will have access to Biocon’s anti-scale and related water filtration technology to develop filter products for the medical industry.
Is the IWTDs even on the board anymore or are they just an "piece" of the bigger system that Camelbak is going to market? Either way Camelbak should be able to put them up for sell to anybody wanting to buy; regardless of whether the Army is interested or not! Am i missing something here?
Wonder how much Camelbak figures into that cash-flow positive forecast. They always seem to over-estimate potential royalties but in this case i suspect they might be under-estimating. They DO really seem to have things really moving at this point and i think that is why they did the 50% reduction in warranties; to get the cash to implement their current business plan. Lots of irons in the fire and its make me nervous to say this but "no-brainer" comes to mind as far as investing in Nephros at this time. I think you may have actually used that term before but this time i think this time it is the "real Mccoy"! Can't wait for liftoff!
LOL! While i'd love to be a millionaire i don't think Nephros will be sold for $1B anytime soon. I will gladly take $2 PPS as i don't want to wait another 7 years..
I am pretty sure the 2011 warrants were .30 and .40. So the .30 warrants are still a bargain. Depends on how quick the PPS goes up from here as to the .40 warrants. Not to mention whether shares will still be available at these prices. I really don't expect them to be for long but this stock has fooled me a few times before...But I will be surprised it the PPS is not at.50 or over by end of March...
Was you that has posted when they had the 50% off offering? I was trying to tell whoever it was to buy as they could sell and still make some kind of profit IF they did not want to hold. It was too close to the expiration not to convert them if you were ever going to. I was pretty sure the stock was not going to tank anymore before March but now it is a little more risky to convert. Still think you ought to but that is a personal choice. Good luck in whatever you decide!
That's why i will probably sell a lot during this year! I bought so much in the last year that i will need to sell some as i am tapped out as far as cash is concerned. I hope to wait until $1 PPS(at least) to sell but will be able to recoup my initial and still have plenty to ride out. By buying so many shares in the last year my break even point now is about .75...
Thanks for the info! Must have been a timing issue since i did not see any responses when i deleted the original post so i could repost under my user id. But the PR was positive and gives up hope but as usual it seems like nothing goes right the first time for this company(additional testing required for 510K). I will not depend on them being cash flow positive anymore in 2016 but will anticipate 2017 now for them to really get things ramped up. I am going to temper my expectations as i am so tired of the disappointment. one way or the other i will be selling a lot of my shares by the end of 2016. The next 6 months will determine how many shares i will sell. Good luck to all long suffering Nephers!
Where is this PR update? It is not posted on their website and i googled "Nephros PR" and did not see it....They should be putting out a PR about the 510K approval so if they do have one out it would make me wonder if the approval has been held up and they are putting out a PR to negate the bad news coming(as they have done in the past)...Reposted under my ID as I noticed i had posted under my wife's...
These SHOULD be on the shelf ready to go and i would think some hospitals are chomping at the bit to get them and probably have orders in now just waiting for FDA approval! Ok, maybe I am a dreamer...LOL!
Still have 5 wks or so for 4th qtr numbers. Hopefully we get one or more positive PRs before then. FDA is already past the 90 day timeline for the 510K so hopefully we hear that soon. As many of these as they have done it should be approved without additional info needed..
Agreed! While it is encouraging to see the BID rise it will not get to where we want it just by the old-timers buying additional shares, That said, I will hold onto all my shares as long as the PPS remains under $1. After that i will sell a partial amount and lest the rest ride it out as i think we might actually see the long-awaited potential of this company in the next 5 years. Question: does anybody know what the "money back" guarantee was? Was it just money back IF documentation of the filter usage showed no improvement? I would hope they are not giving the filters away just to get clinics to try them....
Can somebody explain what PR was put out? I have not seen any PR on the study done and reported on here. Am i missing something?
Understood but what was Neph's potential 6 months ago when it was consistently over .60? Sorry but i think the potential is at it's highest since 2009 when the market cap was over $100M! So it could easily go to well over $1 with any hint of good news at all(IMHO). Just got to have something that attracts the new investors as the old ones(like me) are all tapped out! LOL!
Ok; what did you do with the real Oose that was predicting a $20 PPS a few years ago? Is Mr. Positivity gone forever? LOL!
I guess it really depends on Camebak's production costs. Since they are talking about $125 for the backpack and the IWTD alone was $100 before I am guessing the production costs to be in the $50 range. If so i don't think they would give Nephros much more than $25 a unit. I really think the total sales to the US military will be a minority compared to worldwide sales. If they can get $25 a unit sold then they will definitely be cash flow positive for 2016. I can see $1 to $2 PPS just on this alone if the sales are what i think they might be!
Hopefully they did not make the same mistake they did with the Bellco royalties. I would think $25 or more per unit sold but bet they will get $10 or less...I think the real money; besides the HDF, is the water filter used in the dialysis and the filter for commercial applications that they are waiting on FDA approval for...Anyway 2016 is shaping up the be the year they actually achieve positive cash flow as they already stated! GLTA!
