No it's tanking becaue they launched IOS7 and have now #$%$ off the 75% of their old customers that bought their IPhone 4s and older Ipads!!!! GOOD 2ND IMPRESSION Apple ...... Stock is going under $300 NEXT q!!!!!
Take the $520 and run into a CAVE.... IOS7 is horrible. Google -- IOS7 sucks and see what comes up..... I DOUBLE DOG DARE YOU
The new software is SOOOOOO BADDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guess what impression this leaves in every one that bought an IPhone 3 or 4 or OLDER Ipad??? Take a guess!!! Grandma spends $600 on an IPad 2 years ago and now can't type a sentence on her IPAD because it's slow as molasses!!! Guess if she buys another Apple product!!!! GUESSS??? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Your stock is going under $300 because your making enemies with your old customers like myself. Since upgrading to IOS7 the typing is so laggy that I can type a whole sentence before the words actually appear..... REALLY APPLE??? REALLY IOS7......
I think the new IOS7 will be a death blow to apple. They are trying to force people to buy a new phone by slowing down the IPhone 3 and 4's and even old Ipads with IOS7. So basically we are being taken hostage by Apple who doesn't care that people invested thousands of dollars buying their devies only to be forced to buy another one. There are thousands of trends complaining about IOS7 and people that upgraded cannot go back to IOS6. They are making enemies fast with consumers; I went there this weekend and there were people in the store but no one looking at the new Ipad or 5C phones.
Sentiment: Strong Sell
You guys don't know how this game is played which is why I doubled down at 0.08. Your investor base some 40 Million shares are now net long at 0.08 to 0.11 so these people will not be selling their shares until there is sinificant pressure which means unless it goes under 0.10 these people won't be selling a share until it hits a specific target. It is much more likely to test upper resistance than go for a double bottom as we were pricing in bankruptcy 2 days ago. After confirmation that VELTI stock will not be affected by the US sub filing there is nothing but upward pressure as we moving into earnings next week. If they announce flat revenue this Q or above current estimates you'll see it retake the 0.50 level before trading bak down.
You guys are still on Crack what would be the whole point of keeping VELTI alive then if there is nothing left but debt and garbage? They would of just filed bankruptcy for the whole company instead of just for the US operations. What would be the point?? The fact is that no matter which division they sell VELTI would still benefit as all the mobile advertising runs on it's technology which they still own. Your points are all mute until earnings next week!!! But obviously we all realize today that the stock is not worthless and is worth more than it's 10 million dollar market cap.
Wrong again from the press release... a leading global provider of mobile marketing and advertising technology, announced today that it has agreed to sell its U.S., U.K., and India mobile marketing businesses and certain of its U.S.-based advertising businesses to affiliates of GSO. Operations for Acquired Businesses to Continue as Normal Throughout the Sale Process; Receive Additional Financing. Velti's Other European, Asian, South American and Middle Eastern Businesses to Continue Operations as Normal.
Are you dumb? Blackstone took over all the VELT debt from HSBC???? 35 Million++++ and lending them even more money going forward. So do you think they are doing this because VELT will be left with all the toxic assets and filing bankruptcy next Q?? Boy are you dumb. This is the ultimate trade for them; they buy 10 million shares yesterday at 0.08 and will flip this back to the public at $2 next year when the business is stabilized!!!!
Velti Plc, which trades on the Nasdaq Stock Market, isn’t part of the bankruptcy process!!!!! Triple your position tomorrow!!!!!!
Bankruptcy of US entity was also APPROVED which is great. Spinning off all the debt into the dead subsidiary and then file bankruptcy!!!!
Velti Plc, which trades on the Nasdaq Stock Market, isn’t part of the bankruptcy process. The company plans to auction some assets with an affiliate of GSO Capital Partners acting as the initial, or “stalking-horse,” bidder.
While the business lines of Air2Web’s India unit and Velti’s U.K. operations, including Mobile Interactive Group Ltd., are included in the proposed sale, those entities aren’t part of the bankruptcy and are continuing normal operations, Velti Chief Executive Officer Alex Moukas said in a phone interview before the filing.
There is no more catalyst to drive the stock higher after the Samsung announcement. Their earnings guidance was not good....... now the Apple announcement will test those that bought over $17
JPM would not sell them back the shares if they thought there was 50% upside in this stock!!! They know it's going to trade back to support at $14
Last Q Announcement 110 million writedown ...... 31 Million Shares Traded
Proposed Bankruptcy Announcement ............ 19 Million Shares Traded
Day After Bankruptcy ................ At this pace 40 Million Shares Traded
The fact is that we traded 30 million shares with last Q earnings announcement of the 100 million dollar writedown. If VELTI were truly bankrupt we would of traded twice that volume. As indicated they are filing bankruptcy for the US operations to get out of Mobclix and the losses associated with that business. They are also selling US assets to facilitate the bankruptcy filing and selling part of the business to blackstone to get more financing. As indicated this filing will not affect the other profitable parts of their business so well talk again after their earnings announcement next week. Either I'm out $7000 or up $50,000.
Yes but they already use it on the camera and start button so obviously their plans are to expand it's usage going forward. Gorilla glass is rumored to be used in Apple products phones, ipads so it does seem like apple is diversifying away from Samsung as much as possible going forward. So who knows what impact this will have on GLW's business.
This is a DISASTER. They basically bought samsung out of their capacity but if Apple cuts GLW as a supplier that extra revenue or capacity will have the exact opposite effect. In other words declining volumes and demand going into 2014. You do not want to buy a business at its peak which is what GLW did.
The deal, announced within GT Advanced's (GTAT) Q3 report, calls on GT to supply Apple (AAPL) with sapphire via furnaces the former company will own/operate at an Arizona facility owned by the latter.
GT plans to employ 700+ people at the facility, and Apple will be providing GT with a $578M prepayment to assist with the efforts. GT will reimburse Apple for the prepayment over five years, starting in 2015.
The magnitude of the initiative suggests Apple plans to use sapphire cover glass to protect the displays used in future iOS hardware (perhaps including 2014 iPhones/iPads). Rumors about such a move have been around for a while, heightened by Apple's use of sapphire to protect iPhone camera lenses and the iPhone 5S' home button.
Going to test support at $14
