Yes, Ranger, it might have been you, actually. In, initially, in the high 7's, but got out when they announced the secondary, but bought back in when it traded so strongly after that. The mb is dead, and there's been no real news, so I don't have a clue why it is showing such strength right now. Low float, so if they decide to pull the rug out, it's pretty volatile. I don't have very large position, so I'll just let it ride.
Been waiting to add a few IDRA and thought it might actually get hit harder in today's market. Impressive!!
CEMP, TTPH, KITE, ZIOP, and I'm sure there are MANY others! So, what's their point? The market looks forward to the POTENTIAL market!!
It's called accumulation ... you know, the kind of institutional buying that you weren't seeing until the 3/31 report came out? Let's see what the next one says ... more or less?
Fairly good volume and just more accumulation within a very weak market. What's not to like?
Anyone here still paying attention to FOMX? It's been busting a move the past week or so ...
Your discipline is a good idea! Bios don't follow the TA quite as much, but I think it is a good call! I would say with our huge volume above us on the news, we might run into some resistance from those that simply want out once they recoup any loss they might have here. This is a tuck it away proposition, imo.
Kind of like our TASR!!
There's not much downside left there, imo. It was already basing for quite awhile in the $2.30 area BEFORE their huge grant/endorsement and now today, MD Anderson. It isn't going to blow up, imo! But, it will, apparently, take some patience. I thought the market would definitely react better to their news.
See post on NBS to you, too.
I'm "in" with cost basis near $2.80 right now. Not reallocating $$ right now, but definitely will consider adding some lower if that's Mr. Market's intention! M.D. Anderson doesn't fool around ... CIRM validation is big. This has been in the throes of some very powerful players, imo.
Keep your eye on my other "sleeper" ... OCAT. They are suffering from past short-comings corporate governance-wise. They need $$, but I think a partnership or jv is in the works. They've been releasing very positive pr(s) lately ... Protecting their IP with stronger patents today. Very little tute ownership right now, but they have been tiptoeing in under the radar, imo.
Take a flier at it ... hasn't breached $6 in ages. I think that is the line in the sand! JMHO
We were trading above $12 when the Shelf Offering was announced. We promptly retreated down to the $6's in reaction to that. Seems to be a lot of dilution is already priced in. As for "not being able to place the offering in the $6's", according to Karlygirl, that may or may not be the case. With all of the recent developments, I submit that was not the case and we will find out soon enough who is stepping in/up to partner ... perhaps averting the need to raise capital at all right now.
A "crash" is a lot different than a pullback, or even a long overdue correction. The market is not terribly overvalued, and some stocks (ahem ... TROV) are still undervalued.
Watch OCAT!!! (My sleeper ... very positive patent news today ... they are building a moat around their already very proprietary IP) ... fwiw
Another BB holding and I think some here may actually be in it ... FOMX. DEAD message board, but it has been creeping ever higher since the secondary at $9.50. Can't find any new info, but it has been an under the radar winner. Anyone else in it? I think MGM may have initially mentioned it when I started doing DD and bought under $8. Still a strong HOLD!!
Well, mac, the market reacted differently to all of this news than it "should" have. It is an opportunity, but it might be longer term opportunity. NBS will emerge victorious!! ... eventually! This market manipulation has been textbook, imo!
Why, thank you, rainmulti! What a nice greeting to wake up to after a long weekend! Hope yours was enjoyable! Lots of good posters here!
Fantastic affiliation! The company is executing their plan as well as they can. The market valuation will have to, eventually, keep up! Irrational at the moment!
Naw,Keepie, you used to say ZERO institutional ownership, but now when they slowly creep in, it's because they have NO confidence in mgmt.? If that were the case, they would still own ZERO %. Can't have your argument both ways! What do you think would happen if one of those tutes sniffing around wanted, say a million shares? Where would they come from without spiking the share price? Naw, they'll just keep collecting the scraps that retail or naked shorts throw them. But, you probably know that!
Market must not like the "matching funds" aspect, is the only thing I can think of! I still come down on the side of the vote of confidence in the platform. Clearer heads will prevail at some point!
Showing buying interest all day in a week market. It's almost like someone expects news of some kind and doesn't want to be short or out over the weekend! First time in a little while that buyers have been stepping in and paying up, instead of MMs dropping the floor out!
