I would argue that the difference in stock performance between MDXG and OSIR has more to do with share structure and short position than on results. MDXG's shorts were able to unwind their position, if desired, into the larger volume. We have such a small float that for them to even THINK about covering would drive this right to $20, and they know it! This is a different animal, for sure!!
That's why I posted about the stalemate. Maybe we all just sit here at this level until new buyers and/or the market realizes the potential here? Sad, really!
All is progressing well ... Piper raises its price target and we all recognize that at $13.60 OSIR is undervalued. So, if new buyers don't aggressively step in, shorts won't cover! There isn't enough volume for them to do it without causing a spike ... so, who blinks first? NOBODY is selling down here!!!
Tick tock ... "somebody" is running out of time here!
Perception is often NOT reality! Buy the dips, my friend! You'll be glad you did!
We attacked $19 a few times and broke thru it, but couldn't hold. Still traded a day or 2 above it, so can't imagine the resistance will be that tough ... a little help from the overall market? Or ... another pr or 2? Tick tock!!!
From the Stifel upgrade:
. While we've acknowledged longer-term visibility into the development/monetization of the Ebola vaccine remains limited, we believe the recent Janssen/Bavarian Nordic transaction suggests investors shouldn't ignore the optionality here – particularly given NewLink appears to be furthest ahead in the race to achieve both P1 safety/immunogenicity data and million-dose manufacturing scale
I'm not talking about the Ebola vaccine, dimwit! I'm talking about the rest of their pipeline! You know the stuff that will make billions? You are fixated on the Ebola #$%$ ... it's just frosting on this cake!
It's worth what the market says it is! Thank God we didn't "miss"! Just keep your shares tucked away ... eventually, the market WILL have to acknowledge the growth!
I think they are a long shot to win the government proposals and do not have a big pharm. representing them yet
I guess you must've missed the Roche news! They're not "big pharm" enough for you? How about 150M BIG ones with potential of up to 1 BILLION! Chump change? Yeah ... they're a "long shot"! You're a fool! Better to have people think you are one than to open your mouth and remove all doubt!!
If they need shares for compensating people that are contributing to new contracts, innovation, future revenues, it's acceptable!
