The more you watch/follow a stock, you do learn what is "normal" trading. It really helps when there is unexplained price movement. Gives you confidence to buy the dips.
Seems like our weakness has been more sector related this week. We started a rebound off of support just as the IBB was strengthening today. Now it has weakened again, and we are gathering strength!
Computer selling, MMs taking out stops ... whatever was going on. Buy the dips and ride this higher.
I didn't think it would retreat that far, either, but given the sector weakness, it did. Being prepared for it, I kept sufficient reserves to buy additional shares "should it happen"! For once, I was patient enough ... it was a perfect storm!
If you are that interested in getting the answers to your revenue questions, then, by all means, do your own research and report back here. All you've been doing all morning is huffing and puffing that nobody is paying attention to you! Get lost!
Ok, "sara" ... (quotes), we GET it! You're concerned about revenue drop, you're concerned that nobody else here is concerned, and you seem concerned that we might forget to give your posts a thumbs down! Did we forget anything?
Yeah ... I bet it's the BB ... they "just got wind" of something really negative and are bailing! Yeah ... that's the ticket! Has nothing to do with biotech, in general, or the fact that some may be taking some profits. Oh no ... I'm scared!!!
Obviously, you want desperately to be "right"! If you're worried, then cut back on your holdings here. Personally, right now, the financials do not bother me, nor do they seem to bother the Baker Brothers who put up large $$$. Mgmt's options are pegged about where we stand now, so they're not worried about them either. I'm not getting "hissy" ... your relentless posting about the "worrisome loss of revenues" is transparent, that all!
XOMA fell because they discontinued one of their drugs. Clinical stage biotechs are all about the future ... expect turbulence and buy the dips! You either believe in the platform's viability, or not
If you are here for earnings, you are the one who is uninformed. This is a developmental stage biotech ... there are companies with market caps 10 times that of IDRA and they have no meaningful revenue ...YET!
"They" are counting on it ...
Buy when others are fearful (no more than you can afford to lose). A few short months ago, this was happening to my ACRX ... down, EVERY single day and there was no REAL reason. It could be had for under $7 for a short time ... now, it has rebounded to over $12/$13, closing in on new highs. Know what you own and take advantage, if possible, when things don't make sense. GL
Biotech index continues to weaken ... affects ALL biotechs, in general. Not ACRX specific. This moves fast in both directions ... always has.
Biotechs have seen huge gains ... Cramer alluded to the fact that biotech was the place to hide when people thought there was no economic growth. Now, if job #s are good, biotech isn't seen as the place to park $$.
Know what you own and take advantage of down periods! Remember, it wasn't all that long ago, you could buy ACRX under $8.
WHO can call a "bottom"? I KNOW I like $5.35 more than $5.95 to buy. IF you "skate to where the puck WILL be", you know longer term, $5.35 or $5.95 will be irrelevant, anyway.
Positing that biotech has been a place to hid IF the economy is not improving. With better job #s, biotech continues to correct. "Baby being thrown out with the bath water" here!
You want volatility? ISIS has been swinging nearly 10% daily of late.
