With all due respect, it happens ALL the time. Yes, "they" look into it sometimes, particularly if it is ahead of a buyout or such. But, I highly doubt the SEC has the time or interest in looking into a minor player like UNIS. They talk about this on CNBC all the time ... how do you think the Najarian boys get their cues to buy? They look at unusual option activity. I think it is very naïve for someone to think it doesn't go on!
Well, it sure seemed strange, didn't it? Not just a little typical Friday afternoon bump into the close ... it was very large buying pressure!!! Of course, we all know what happens if come Monday there's no PR ... the shorts will just entice people to "take profits" once again. Fingers crossed!!
Somebody BIG wanted in or just covered! The "bigs" always know ahead of time! Do we smell a PR with $$$$ signs attached?
That was my original thesis, too. But, with the easing of restrictions of money flow, etc., Cubans will have more $$ to spend and invest in their own small businesses and the economy will improve. Obviously, the cruise lines will focus on Cuba. $$$ will flow there in anticipation of the eventual thaw! Hey ... the Castros can't live forever!!!
They said the same thing about TASR and it's still on a roll! Do your own homework! He is a trader!
My advice would be to hold tight and add on any/all irrational dips on very light volume. The shorts employ a lot of smoke and mirrors here because of the tightly held float! Good luck!!
Market has helped, however, this move might explain why "they" worked so hard to take it down. We are either expecting some good development(s)/news OR (and this is the conspiracy theorist in me) ... they let it run naturally, so they can entice profit taking when they drive it back down. It's the ONLY way "they" can get shares for cover! Just random musings ... We're so undervalued here ... but you knew that! ;-)
