When we talk about this kind of growth and being in on the ground floor, it reminds me of my first foray into NFLX at $19 and trying to convince people of their business model and the future prospects. Even Cramer wasn't convinced of its sustainability and said to sell it in the low $20s. It was very volatile, even then. Needless to say, I didn't have the conviction I should have and I left my measly 1000 shares in the low $20's. I never re-entered ... sigh!! I'm thinking we might have the same tiger by the tail here!
Difference between consolidating in the $18's and the $20's is that the advantage has swung to the longs, BIG time. "Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda" is going to kick in soon!
They aren't losing $. The buyers often hedge, or go short against the offering. They will make $ on the way down and up. It's a rigged game!
Google "Deep Capture" to explain it, too. It's been going on for years and, no, the SEC is useless in combatting it. Such a disgrace!
I think that short position has remained fairly stable for a LONG time. With little volume, they seem to be in a quandary ...how to extricate themselves? Glad that's not MY problem!!
Do you think at some point we will have to do a split? At $1 per share what kind of multiple would you put on it?
Seen this a hundred times, so the pps is not always a true indication of the health of the company or the prospects for the science/platform. I don't think I am the ONLY one who thinks so as just noted by recent collaborations. And, not one analyst has come out and changed their opinion. So, why are YOU here?
A lot of companies are only in P1 and valued many times higher than this. P3 and collaboration with very credible institutions on research? MD Anderson? Value of $100M is a joke!
The thieves aren't letting go ... why would they try so hard to run a company into the ground? I'm happy they did their financing. The pps right now is not a reflection on the state of the company. Swimming with sharks!!
No reason it shouldn't hold $11 area, other than the low float being prone to extremes. I'm actually waiting til the Greece thingy resolves or shakes out next week to tweak any of my holdings.
IDRA holding nicely!
Sorry! Didn't see it breaking $2.
MDXG breaking out along with OSIR! Same segment and they are very profitable, debt-free and WILL be on the seller's block within a year or two. Huge short position, but I guess they didn't see the CEO interview on Squawk Box coming earlier this week. Huge volume and they might finally be forced to cover. Reminds me of TASR a bit. I like OSIR better, but own both. But, what do I know? Took my profits in TROV over $13 and looking to buy back in there, too. Waiting to see what happens with Greece, overall. Also SCOTUS' decision on Obamacare might have an effect on healthcare stocks. Who knows?
With all due respect, you're forgetting that approximately 50% of people WANT it overturned. So, I don't see the upheaval as being that great. It will roil the insurance markets for awhile. But, I suspect Congress has measures in place to keep status quo until it gets sorted out. It's a mess, for sure! That's what happens when you craft a 2000 page bill and don't let anyone read it. Sloppy legislating at best!
I think Greece next week might be worse, temporarily, at least!
That early in the day and that kind of block HAD to be prearranged!
Also thinking a lot of traders don't want to be in ahead of Monday's possible Greek news.
Where does opex put this? Max pain? I don't follow or do options! Thx!
OT-Mac, I hope you sold NBS/CLBS ... bad call on my part! Sorry!! Wish you'd just held OSIR, instead.
Volume precedes price ... we now have had real volume on this move. Shorts who didn't cover are now competing for available shares as this goes higher. You know this hit a lot of screens based on the CNBC interview and the chart. Glub, glub, glub!!
Have a good weekend and Happy Father's Day to all you dads out there!!
There was some talk about the possibility that Greek banks might not be able to open on Monday due to a run on the banks ... Discussed this afternoon on CNBC with MCCabrerra on the scene in Greece. Buying opp?
Notice no volatility? Strange because the shorts were able to move it at will for a LONG time. They've lost their mojo? Just hold that one!!
