Volume over 8M is not a sucker bounce ... it is shares changing hands, or churn, at worst. As I said, there are buyers on the other side of the selling that's taking place. Clearly, it's not all retail! Building a pretty strong base here in the $1.90 range!
Well, Level 2 isn't showing many ... if not there, I wonder where those shares are being shown?
I'm taking the other side of your trade!
Are you waiting to buy back in to TROV?
Not slumming. Your interest in this has kept it on my radar screen, actually! It is intriguing. Intriguing enough for me to take a minor swing at it here in the low $1.90's. UNIS is turning out to be longer term than I had imagined! ;-)
My main holdings are OSIR (breaking out) and TROV. Keep your eye on OCAT because if they get a partnership or jv, they should pop!!
ISR's market cap is too low here!
Look at the volume ... Clearly, anyone wanting to sell this pop is/has. Just WHO is accounting for the other side of that "trade" at the $1.80-$1.90 level? People who think it will go higher or lower? The volume here is the "tell".
Yeah, "real" companies that pay a dividend. I'm not for one minute comparing ISR to REGN, but you do know it was a $5 stock with no revenue and no divvy not that long ago, right? Your argument, especially in biotechland, doesn't hold water!
Your short % is not that out of line here. Short squeezes rarely happen, and frankly, I"ve watched from the sidelines for quite awhile with interest, and you won't need the shorts to see price appreciation. This is an intriguing story!
Of course you are correct! I was thinking "small ball" , missing the forest for the trees, so to speak! The word is getting out on lots of fronts!! Exciting times!!
Volume picking up and pps trending the same! Tick tock!!
We all knew that the market just wasn't "getting it" ... thanks CNBC! Anyone who looks into this has to be a buyer at these levels!
It got a mention last week on CNBC (while I was quietly buying more in the $16s ... missed the pop for extra shares), but I think it lit a fire under the shorts that they might just have to cover on this undiscovered gem!
No problem, oil. I love sharing ideas with people, but am always fearful I'll recommend something and people will lose money. Cautious is best, but I do believe in OSIR's long term story, similar to what we have here!
Yikes, oil ... that is a tough question. For me, it was a buy on the pullback this a.m. because I know the stock and company. It wouldn't have scared me or bothered me if it hadn't gone up right away from where I bought. It's different as a new investor. Risk/tolerance, and all that. We have a fairly significant short position in the stock that has NO way out because the float is tied up. They've been there for years and can't cover without driving the price up ... check out the move from $13 to $27 in one day a couple of years ago on good news. It couldn't sustain the move because we were still not making $$, so the shorts made out by taking it back down from there. However, it got a little shout out the other day on CNBC with a reiteration of a buy and target of $28 by Piper Jaffray. Since then, it has been less under the radar and I think some shorts are starting to squirm. Because of the low float (like Trov), it can seem volatile, when, in fact, it's an illusion. Start by googling "Dalton Georgia man regrows foot" and you'll see what they are capable of doing. Some of the very knowledgeable people on that board predict triple digits in the future. I'm talking a 2-3 year timeframe, but it is doable. Right now, the stock is technically undervalued by over 50% when priced like other biotechs on price to sales. I'd watch it and read about it. I'd say the downside from where it sits today is $16 and it would be meaningless, if that happened. JMHO, but I do love the science there!!
Nice job, oil. It may not be the bottom, but picking up a few on the dips is never a bad idea for the longer term since you understand the story here. I didn't have any extra $$ as I added some to my OSIR position this morning anticipating a little break out there! Long time comin' ... been in that for several years since $6 levels. Did we discuss that one here before? Can't remember. Very interesting company, fwiw! Another low float, tightly held by owners/insiders, owners have history of establishing value and then selling at high rate of return for shareholders. They never dilute, debt free, great margins and growth, growth, growth. Turned cash flow positive this year and deals with Stryker and Arthrex. Do your own DD! It's one of my favorites!!
Thanks, again, jr. We know where it is going eventually, but it's kind of fun to see how it correlates with the technicals you mention.
Is today our break out day? Been a LONG time comin' ...
I was just last night thinking back to my thought process when I first bought this at $6 and change! Of course, in hindsight, I wish I'd been a little more aggressive! lol
Funny to watch the shares being thrown up to try and block this!
