Could this really be it? After nearly 7yrs of desperately hanging in here?
I need .0120 to get out of here whole, but would be nice to make a little something.
I invested here originally for OvaDX, and would be very happy with FDA approval. I never liked the idea of AVDX spin off, and still don't. But if it all works out in the end who cares.
Not counting my chickens before they hatch, still extremely skeptical and worried for (common) share holders.
Not many better opportunities long term IMO. For those who wish to initiate a position, buy now please.
With so many stocks at multi year lows, its amazing the DOW still is where it is. I have plenty of EPD already, but considering adding here. Patience required, but we'll be fine.
The "expected" "target" was anticipated for September. Clock is ticking....
I pity all the new folks in this stock who do not understand what they are in for. Be skeptical of anything they say. Their track record speaks volume. One thing you can be sure of though IMO is a massive reverse split is coming.
We that have been here 6 yrs know better then to believe the div is coming at all.
Where's Easy these days? Still buying?
10-40X NOX just to be clear. Still much cleaner then my 03, and worlds apart from those old MB's, etc still on the road legally.
I agree they will pay heavily, but realistically not to the extend you expect.
There will be more pain, but yes this will pass.
NOX is the problem here, not 10-40X overall emissions. The EPA assesses pollution by the Gallon, and does not take into account the mileage a car gets (in this case 45 MPG). When you look at the big picture, those driving large SUV's are far bigger pollution offenders then those driving Tdi's. I think the reality will sink in and in a years time this will be off the radar. While it was an egregious and deceptive act, I am not sure how long people will care.
I'm sure they wished they used Urea from 2009, as others have had to do.
I would not be surprised to find other means of cheating out there, by any number of MFG's (gas or diesel), which may water this down a little.
I'll still buy a VW, thinking new Gti when I retire my 235K Tdi. No more diesels for me, does not pencil out like it used to anyway. Especially now.
Long term buyers (1-2yrs) at this level will be fine IMO.
What is propping it up?
With out knowing what is really going on with share structure, its nothing but a blind gamble.
Miserable action here....
Blah Blah Blah, keep rationalizing it. Do I sense desperation?
This is a miserable stock, until we have some transparency do not trust anything about "them".
I am not short this, but clearly shorts have been in the drivers seat here since that massive P&D 4/15. You and Lester have been wrong, and will continue to be for the foreseeable future.
Miserable action here, glad I dumped last week. Unfortunately my wife still has some shares.
I'm out with small profit on remaining shares. Over all up 200+% since April, best trade of the year, not looking back.
Wife still holds 25K in her IRA.
Right, they say this level of oil burning is acceptible/normal, until you try to trade the car in....
Low tension rings have been the major cause of this, not that they are a bad thing, just more to learn, better reliability testing etc...
I agree with you on this. Turns out there was little substance to the great pump and dump of 4/15.
I have a few house shares left, but not buying anymore. Looking to get out over .10 next pump.
last decade says otherwise: Audi 2.0 oil burning? Vw tdi HPFP, DPF woes (and now this), Porsche 3.6 IMS bearing failures? Just a few of the $$$$ problems from VAG, with limited dealer support/recourse. Arrogant Germans say it is routine, and blame it on us dumb Americans.
I have been a German car enthusiast for decades, and have never had such difficulty with ownership.
Clearly more reliability testing needs to be performed.
With that said, I commute with an older Tdi and has been a good car (now at 235K). I would not touch the newer stuff. My Wifes Audi A4 TQ was the last.
The others use Urea systems, VW did not. Not to say that others did not also cheat some how, but their systems are fundamentally different (and more $$$). NOX is the issue here, more compression is not the answer, urea is.
Yea, and posted nothing at 50 about the short. Total lying FOS, to be ignored completely...
Or maybe the news is not as bad as we are being led to believe. We have yet to hear the true technical details leading up to this.
