Thumb up. It has nothing to do with the sales numbers. Holding strong plus adding more on each dip.

He is biased. But compared with his tracking record of being extremely biased toward MNKD, something is changing. These people see what we cannot see. One example, the 96 million shorted what percent is institutional short and what percent is retail short?

Given other two articles by the street, 1. "massive upside 10 stocks under $10", 2. "The top 5 most shorted stocks", retail shorts really need to be careful.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • It should be out yesterday but could not find it anywhere. Anyone has the new figure? Thinking of 100+ mm now.

Never believe investing is a betting game but the shorts surely are doing so.

  • Within only 56 days (Feb-25, March-31) effort, the 1.1 million is very impressive. Moe important is the tone of Adam, I realize some changes here. Adam represents (and paid by?) those hedge funds. Is this the signal? Retail shorts, be careful. the Street eats you alive w/o blinking of the eyes.

Longs do not have to cover but shorts do. If they do not cover, their gain is only on paper. The moment they cover, their gains evaporated. So the shorts have only one choice, keep shorting and that is what we have seen int he past few months. Truth is, there is an end to this.

Longs -- no need to cover, no interest paid, loss is on paper, gain when shorts cover
Shorts -- need to cover, pay interests, gain on paper, loss when cover

You tell me which position is better?

6 month in full capacity for one line is about 60 million cartridges. Assuming 100 cartridge in each package for 30 days supply, that;s about 600K packages.

In US alone, there are 6500 Endo doctors. Suppose SNY reps can reach 20% (initial launch) of them in the first three months (ending on 05/03/2015) and leave 20 packages as samples for each, that is 26K packages, without counting PCPs.

There are 7600 CVS stores, 8200 Walgreen stores, 4500 Rite Aid stores and 11000 Walmart stores. Suppose SNY needs to stock 20% (initial launch) of these stores with 100 packages each, that is 600K packages. I am not counting other retailers, such as Target. Kmart, ACME, Eckerd, etc. etc.

Those big brands will have their warehouse stocking some also, right? Also, retail stores inventory is indeed sales from SNY but you won't see it from script counts.

In my opinion, by end of August (6 months into the launch), SNY could possibly touched 20% of the Endos and 20% of the retail stores. Before then, you won't see TV ads. Also, by then, the early adopters will have been on A. for 26 weeks, their test for HBAC1 measured plus no significant side effects for them. Before then, you won't see TV ads or things of that nature. Plus you won't hear much from SNY either.

Don't be scared by the shorts.

I guess that is what had happened in 2008, in the opposite direction though. Everyone the knew then that real estate could not always up. However, the one who bought made money until the last buyer.

Look at MNKD, everyone knows this is a blockbuster and PPS will not stay this low forever. However, the shorts made money and that attracted a lot of crooks. Bottom lime, don't be the last to short and that is word to the shorts.

$120 in 2016 is somewhat exaggerating, but the point is:

Q:Why are you convinced that SNY thinks this will be a blockbuster drug?
A: Why do you think SNY pays MNKD $150 million upfonrt?

Q: I have spoken to at least 4 doctors ...
A: depends on what kind of doctors you have spoken with, dentist is a doctor and I am expecting him know Afrezza. Ask and Endo!

Q: I have spoken with 3 different pharmacies
A: I believe you mean 3 pharmacists. Well, one day I was looking for Oatmeal Bath Treatment in a local Target store. I asked three girls (one is a manager) and they all told me never heard of it. They searched computer on my request, they pointed me to the baby section. Guess what, the girl working at the baby section does not know where it was and had never heard it either. We walked a few isles and found it. what dose that prove or disprove.

Again, Al made his billions and he spent $1 billion for buying the TS alone. Today a lot patients are still using insulin pump. Guess who invented it? Al. When TS is just a concept, Al paid $1 billion. Now TS alone worth $10 billion. The board has joked about delivering Viagara using TS, not a bad idea.

MNKD does not need cash now so they should not risk anything to pump this stock. All material information will be disclosed via 8K filing plus quarterly reports. I would suggest that if you cannot take the heat, get out now.

The 100 million shorted shares have to covered one way or the other. I do not know how the shorts can get out without being punished.

I understand your frustration. But since you have been a professional in security industry for 25 years, MNKD cannot comment on the sales because of the agreement with SNY. After all, it has only been on the market for two months, SNY's silence is normal.

You do not want to pump your stock unnecessarily, don't you know what happened to OREX? Short term the stock appreciate but long term suffers. Since SNY+MNKD all are confident that Afrezza will be a blockbuster drug, then just let the figure speak itself. You need to give them a few quarters.

The street is betting on overall market meltdown plus the timing that Afrezza will not show its strength in 6-9 months. The truth is that so much money has been pumped into the market, with oil and gold so low, the overall market will not be as bad as some bears predicted. If market does not crash this year, MNKD will reach $120 a share in 2016.

Those are for trending analysis. When you only had only 2 bucks, an miscount of 1 makes a big difference. However, when you have a million, a miscount of 1 is nothing.

You just cannot use a model formed for established product to judge a new product. First, Afrezza is still too early to use those numbers; Second, a script is one paper and guess what, five refills are not abnormal.

Most poor DM patients only see his/her Endo twice a year. Think how many refills that piece of paper will allow?

You just have to wait a couple of quarters to let SNY report the sales number. Then you calibrate IMS/symphony numbers or just simply follow the growth rate. This will give you a much accurate insight. For now, all the talks are just bsht.

  • Here is the short interest quoted from NASDA in the past 8 months. I guess by end of 04/30/15, the number would be more than 100 mm but still far away from GS's $3, lol

No matter how well the controled cover will go, to cover the 100 mm shorts alone will drive the PPS by $10 per share. Unless MNKD files chapter 11, I have no idea how the shorts will get out of this.

    Holding my shares strong.

    03/31/15 -- 95 mm
    02/27/15 -- 90 mm
    01/30/15 -- 80 mm
    12/31/14 -- 75 mm
    11/28/14 -- 79 mm
    10/31/14 -- 82 mm
    09/30/14 -- 78 mm
    08/29/14 -- 74 mm

If GS REALLY intends to short this to $3, they would have said $0.99 target. Remember big banks predict oil could go down to $10? The moment they said it would go down to 10, the rebound started and hit today's $56.

    there is a moron here.

Actually, it does not work the way you described. IPO will go through a lead underwriter. The lead underwriter will appraise MT value. Suppose MT does worth 500 million upon IPO (I guess NAVB had consulted some accounting firms or investment banks prior claiming the $500 value), and NAVB wants to sell $250 worth of stock (underwriter will get some percentage for fees and NAVB net maybe $240 million) to found MT, then original NAVB share owners will only own 50% of MT.

    Thumb Down.

The originally announced 1/2% ownership on the LOI was referring to the $2.5 million without options. Now they have the option to buy additional 1500 commons. When fully exercised, represents 1% of ownership. I guess the owner has to pay to exercise the options. Simple math says the equivalent of $1667 pps for MANO commons. It is clear who is lying here.

Silence is gold. MNKD already said more samples ordered and that is enough to me as a long. Basically, that translates into "we are doing better than planned."

TV Advertising? Who should be the audience? For Endos or PCPs, TV commercial may be not a good idea now. Rather, meetings and symposiums will do much better. Plus, visiting their office and giving them more samples (of course, a lot of companion materials also) to distribute to their patients may seem to be more effective.

After the cycle of providing samples (30 days supply but the cycle could be 90 days) is finished, those who used Afrezza will do the commercials voluntarily for SNY/MNKD. Patients normally form their own circle to share information and provide support to each other. Today's internet beats anything else in the past.

TV commercials will be done. But in my opinion, by then Afrezza is already $5 billions in sales and SNY needs to bump it to $10 billion sales..
