100 shares traded at 3.59. Average of well over 20k shares traded on AH was 3.75. The low bid/ask etc. means nothing; never does in AH. Who knows how it will open but the SP will meander higher over next month or so on greater certainty of meeting analysts forward EPS and Rev projections. Ive seen this play out before. MO

Companies like this are more about operations then marketing. I think Wulfsohn may have left because he got bored with the more mundane aspects of factory floor operations, cost control, and vendor relationship management. Most of the companies that use specialty metals and products within the CRS space know of them – and their competitors – and are undoubtedly familiar with the sales arrangements that CRS routinely accords their customers. This company will outperform when Athens is up to full stream, the balance of their production is rationalized and world GDP begins to gradually pace up. They do have customer stickiness and there aren’t many companies that can compete successfully in this highly technical space.

Warranty accrual rollforward not accurate in 10K?

Good for you. Your eyes don't glaze over while reading the Q's and K's.

From the recent (2014) K: "Historical warranty experience is, however, reviewed by management. The current provision may be adjusted to take into account unusual or non-recurring events in the past or anticipated changes in future warranty claims. Adjustments to the initial warranty accrual are recorded if actual claim experience indicates that adjustments are necessary. Warranty reserves are reviewed to ensure critical assumptions are updated for known events that may impact the potential warranty liability."

The reserve numbers move up and down at the discretion of management. 2014 acquisitions have pushed the reserve number up.

Yea, they got a million shares at just north of 15 bucks. I guess if I were an Italian Bank I might sell 'em too.

    Anyone listen to the CC?

They guided on EBITDA (within a range) in the Q3 2014 CC. Not this time. I think the integration of Autocam and the currency issues are making their internal assessments difficult. I just listened to the CC. I don't think they are trying to hide or cover anything; just busy with the integration and trying to figure the EZ economy and currency issues out.

The institutions hold about 14.5M shares (12/31 13F), Insiders hold 2.7M; that leaves retailers with 2.1M based on 19.3 outstanding. Hard to believe institutions would be selling at the drop of a hat. If anything they've probably been increasing the last 3 months. Todays volume at about 1.1M 2EST. Hard to understand other than a group of weak handed retailers in a panic. The 60 day run-up momentum explains a bit of this...but... this thing is way oversold.

This one, TEX, MTW, take your pick. Its like people think its the end of the world in this space. Crazy. Be greedy; it will pay handsomely.

  • He knows a thing or two. In the CC in Feb. Viegas was a bit reticent when discussing Apple iWatch.

Fiechthorn: “since you mentioned it three times, and kind of what we should expect to see over the course of this year as they launch a product that most likely contains your IP”

Viegas: “Great question. I would say that we point to Apple just simply as a proof point in the marketplace that haptics is gaining momentum”. …. “and it adds a competitive spirit” . “So we see it as a very positive”.

Viegas: “In terms of the forecast, there’s no expenses built into there for any litigation. There’s also no revenue forecasted for any revenue. And other than that, I can’t give you any update or any other feeling for Apple.”

    Fichthorn: “No other feeling?”

Viegas: “No other feeling. It’s a haptic feeling”.

If iWatch sells, a prediction: AAPL will own these guys in 6 months.

I would add to the below some currency headwinds in the translation but both PM and Valla manufacture in the EZ and I would think that this would help with product introduction and cross sales efforts for knuckle booms and port equip. in North America. The only guidance that I could see was Langevin: "modest growth in our markets for 2015".
