I would like to hear from fellow longs. The past 2 days to me has confirmed what I expected for several months. Maybe it was healthy that the sp stayed restrained. But, with the positive earnings report a few weeks ago, I feel that gave notice that the co. is for real, and the turnaround is very much in process. It is hard to say as to why some small companies achieve success while others do not. Yes, a part of it is just luck. I referenced a bit of info yesterday in a post and will repeat in order to make a point. I was a friend of Angelo Luchessi, the first ever salesman for a small company in TN in the 1950s, Jack Daniels. In the 1960s, somehow Frank Sinatra tried some Black Jack, and loved it, Angelo made sure that Sinatra always had a supply on hand at his homes. Other celebs saw it, common folks all over the country and world saw it, and soon Jack Daniels had a cult following, and soon became a house hold name. Angelo died recently, I think he was in his early 90s, and man, he was fun to listen to and tell such interesting history of his life. The point is, who knows, something similar may happen with a ROX product, Jeffersons could for sure fit the bill of being a premium niche product. Re the share price run up of last 2 days, I feel it was just the true sp reaching where it should be. To me, it is the run up that we should have gotten after earnings. Guess time will tell. Thoughts from any other longs?
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Guys, I realize you can not beat Big Money wall street when they want to take down a stock, I take that back, on one occasion I did come out ahead, and that was ARNA last spring and summer, but that was a rare time. Already this morning on RNN board is tons of messages meant to scare retail folks out of their shares. They can manipulate these small stockks for their own gain time after time, I wish any longs that stay the best of luck, but for me it is not worth the hassle and headache to fight it. glta
Adam F. mailbag took me out of RNN this morning, good thing I get up early, I suspect it will drop a lot. I still made good, not nearly what I had hoped, but for me, it is not worth the headache to own a stock that he bashes. I do not know why, but apparantly a whole lot of people follow every word he says. Well, I planned to cut way back on spec. biotechs today, so he helped me to get started.
RNN has had a good run, and I had high hopes for it to continue. However, Adam F. Friday mailbag is often fatal or near fatal blow. I have been a victim numerous times, but you can bash him all you want, the fact is he can kill a stock. I got tired of fighting it, and now get out of stocks he bashes. I sold all my shares this moring pre market at $1.33. I dont want the headache and potential of much higher losses. There are too many other stocks out there to make money on. Good luck to any longs that stick it out. jmo
falcon, I will check out TAS. For sure, I am open to stocks in any field. I had a huge gain today in ROX, which though has had a 2 day run, is still worth checking out.
I have owned RAD since $2 last spring, it was a beaten down company that revamped itself, got finances in order, and is now a great turn around story. I can see ROX doing the same thing, if you do not know, it traded for almost $10 a few years ago.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
there is no need to continue going up against Adam F. I tried for many years, but now, when ever he gets a stock in his sights and starts bashing, if I own it, I sell and move on jmo
Well, finally I am learning. Today, on the dip, I added 200 shares at 12.75. Thanks Mike and PB for enabling me to get a better understanding of HZNP.
andre, you in ROX? About an hour ago, I sold 1,000 ATRS and added 3400 ROX. It is a solid brick and mortar company, not a high spec biotech. They had positive earnings a couple weeks ago for first time in a long time. They are a lot like RAD was like a year ago, could be a great turn around play. I prob. own more than I should, but it may be one of those once in a decade stocks.
andre and ryman, thanks for the headsup on CBMX and LPTN. I have owned both in the past, and one thing I hate is for a previously owned stock to reach far higher without me being aware. I have got to the point that JAZZ does not bother me anymore, sold at $6. Guess I am what is known as a momentum player, which for someone without patience to own a GE, MRK, etc is good. For blue chip/large caps, I prefer ETFs. I must say the past few days has been work, but very rewarding. Heading to Clearwater Beach,FL this weekend to spend some time in a nice home right on the beach, no, not mine, but my wealthy sister and her husband. but, seriously, just an idea here and there from someone can pay off quite well in the market. In recent months, SYN and RNN have been 2 of the best I got on a board.
