jr, its not funny for us old longs here, I still got 700 shares, just because we did well moving money into HZNP and CUR, among others, we must not try to make jokes. Did you check out my idea on EMITF this morning. I am not pumping, but check it out, volume is going up big time. We need to focus on finding new stocks to make money, these are good folks here on this board, and hopefully all here will someday make money on ATRS. By the way, ROX is another good idea. glta
jr, must admit it feels good to be well loaded in HZNP and CUR. Regarding ATRS, I think one thing that keeps people, and probably kept me longer than I should, is that one looks at the years you held it, and hate to think it may go up after you dump it. Seems to me that gradually old longs have excited. I like to get in stocks that are under $5, preferably under $3, and catch a double or triple. I am always on the lookout , because you never know when new ideas pop up. About a month ago, or less, I jumped into NWBO, BIOD, CBMX, soon dumped NWBO, but still hod CBMX, which poped similar to CUR today. Seems a a writer from The Street said it may quickly double. Are you in SYN, I got in at $1.10 a few months ago, has MS drug with news expected in month or so. A couple non bio that I have done well in are NLST and ROX, both are turn around stories and still just starting, well worth checking out. You got anything good ones to check out?
jr, lets hope cur is another hznp, anyone here in isr? It took off friday, dont know if it has legs.
Thanks, randy/jr., I bought 2,000 CUR a week or 10 days ago from rec. here. Another example of other stocks gaining over a dollar or 2 and passing atrs.
shadow, I commend your efforts here with ATRS, but as others have done, several months ago I lightened up a lot and now am almost out. By doing that, I have managed to have fantastic returns all of last year, and especially since Dec. 1, 2013 to today. I will keep a very few shares, but as you stated in your posts, in upcoming months, people are going to be pleasantly surprised. My point is, in the mean time, I suggest putting the money elsewhere, with some stock movement, ex, since transferring lots of cash out of ATRS, I have made very good on HZNP, SYN, and several others. Even you and Thoroughs old pick, ISR, I made $2,000 on yesterday. For the past few months, this has been a momentum, day/week trade, in and out. market, and the people holding dead money, or worse, losing money on stocks such as ATRS are missing out. Besides the previous mentioned HZNP, SYN, ISR, some other bio techs in the ATRS price range, but in a nice upward trend, are CUR,CBMX, LPTN, BIOD, all of which I think are better places to put money than ATRS. Guess me, and many others here have been guilty of the proverbial sin of falling in love with a stock. You know, I have to give Scott M. credit, he was deeply in love here, but when he felt that ATRS management did wrong with the offering, he bailed out. Man, I imagine he has mad tons of money on the money he cashed out here. Just my thoughts, and I hope we achieve success here in the coming months. good luck, enjoy your posts.
serious and others, Trust me, I sold last fall and paid more to get back in.By no means put a stop loss in, for with low volume, they can easily take you out. As for the building a position, just buy all you want here under $3, and you will be done with it. On this one, in a couple or 5 years, you will look back and laugh how you were trying to get $2.70 instead of $2.80
Sentiment: Strong Buy
I suggest you double or triple down, or more, based on your financial situation, and if u feel strongly about their drug. Then, if possible, watch closely, if it drops below todays low, maybe sell. But the easiest monry in bio tech is on days like gern had today. Dont let it get u down, think of the good things in life. gl
thanks, giz mo, hope you did not get hit too hard in GERN today, if so, just dont dwell on it, go on to the future. If they got anything decent, double or triple down. gl
Got best WAG store I ever seen, 2 levels. CVS next door, Rite Aid is back further inland. I own all 3, but 80 percent RAD, 20 and 20 WAG and CVS, it is called a sector ETF, I am up around 200% or so in past 2 years. Join the pharma party, we folks with sense are having a good time, talked to a guy from Philly today who owns a ton of WAG, he is retired exec. The point is , America is a melting pot, there is room for lots of brands, wake up and join the party. Oh, by the way, the folks in the other post who u said were calling for BK, are u sure they were folks or your trained parrots.
Ace , USA is a huge country with lots of aging boomers. Dont you think there is room for more than WAG and CVS? Considering the increased pharm business, generics, Obamacare, well ness centers changing the mental face of RAD, anylysts upgrades, possible buyout, improved financing, I could go on and on. In America, we like a choice, and not just between 2 choices, ie, car brands, grocery brands, etc. I feel sure all the drugstore brands will do quite well going forward. Your problem is , you allow "somebody elses good thing to be your bad thing" in other words, you are eaten up with jealousy of Rads success. Until you get rid of the jealousy and hatred, you will always be a miserable human being.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
The problem with bios is they lull you into thinking nothing majorly bad can happen, then out of the blue they release devestating news.
Randy, thanks again for the heads up here. I added this morn, will be satisfied with 2,000 shares, since I try to get into as many good bets as possible, which is how I wound up with 1,000 LJPC. Of course, in hindsight, wish I had sold all my ATRS long ago, but thankfully, like you, Jr., others, I sold most of it and did well with HZNP, RAD, SYN. I actually just sold my ATRS down to 1,000 shares this morn, and added to CUR, SYN, ROX, which has been big for me in past week. Oh, just remembered, I also got in FCEL this morn, guess better a little late than never.
I am going to sell at $17 and $16 if it drops that far, may leave a little on table, but then, may have possibility of nice further gain.
Well, I just split my decision half and half. Sold half at 17.45 for $2500 profit, and will let other half go a while, but not too far down.
