8 million share option due to be completed Mar 8 or thereabouts.
Funds shorted on newa and now need to cover.
Silver is 55 to 1 with gold. 17 is historic norm.
PEAs show fair value at 10 thus now currently selling at 20% of fair value.
Central banks have been buyers of gold to offset fiat currency debasements.
Why would they buy at 1650+ last year and sell now?
Silver has 200 paper ounces for every one real ounce per kitco contributors.
Talking heads on TV telling everyone to sell gold and to buy metal puts.
China Gold and Silver Exchange Society (which bought LME) is opening new Silver warehouse in Qianhai in Q1.
Net usage of silver should indicate constant purchases of silver for industral usage.
International debt problems are still not solved.
Why sell near the bottom unless you need to for tax purposes or margin call.
I am sure that there are many more.

  • There are two types of silver ETFs.
    Metal backed
    Non metal backed.

The non metal backed ETFs divert money from the physical thus lowering the price of silver.

The miners are damaged. Earning per share and borrowing costs.
The investsors are damaged. Share price manipulation.
The countries that collect taxes on the silver produced are damaged. Decreased revenues.

Would seem simple to correct with a honest judical system and honest SEC.

200 ounces of paper silver for every ounce of physical silver (kitco) demonstrates the amount of fraud.

  • Called billing and they could/would not explain it.

He also mentioned the need for dividends twice.
PAAS raised thiers this quarter by 150%
    Maybe this year.... maybe
    Great job rocky..

  • Citi most likely knows what the 4Q will look like.
Hope this is a good CC just a few days after options expiration.
If they show 25 cents eps then going forward 1.00+ per year.
Currently valued as a growth tech company with a 5 PE.
Seems more like 10-15 PE should be considered.
I am thinking a quick jump to 7-10 after the CC.
If they mention a long term relationship for building South American Solar plants with CAP then maybe 15 this year.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

    1. Let the options go uncalled.
    2. Exercise options for a dollar and sell immediately for a gain of a dollar making 8 million
    3. Exercise options for a dollar and wait for a buyout for 8-20 (depending on your view) making 80 million+.

    I'm thinking number 3.

And the shorts are covering with their "stock fraud shorting tactics".
Wear out / scare out the new longs with machine trades that supress share price.

Read about the 1938 "uptick rule" and the 2007 "Cox" repeal for the extortionists

Lots of miners in the area and they all need power.
Lots of high altitude desert land available for large projects.
    Start of something very good.

    Earnings: from yahoo estimates.
    Quarter Est eps Actual eps

    Reorganization completed

    Growing energy income stream.

And remains a strong global player in the semiconductor materials area waiting for a tech rally which should happen with the global recovery.

Did I read somewhere Buffett was a buyer? Could be mistaken.

I Still think this is a $10+ stock.

My guess is that all of these converts will be put back to the company so that lender can reinvest the principle at a higher rate. I am thinking that those who sold the shares now have to buy them back and thus the tree shaking. The longer options seem to have a lot of premium. Maybe after March 15 we will see the start of a meaningful rally. Hoping so anyway. GLTU

It will be easier to answer those questions if the PEA comes out tonight or tomorrow before open.

    The perfect storm.
Two news releases the same morning before opening.

PEA release - better than expected.
Buyout offer of over $15 per share.

Maybe I should have a GTC in at $20.

    It won't last forever shorty..
The new SEC chairman is out to make this a honest market and undo the harm done by allowing
unchecked shorting by the elimination of the uptick rule under Christopher Cox 2007.

    Un-checked shorting causes forced selling.
    Forced selling is extortion.
Extortion is illegal and should be equally illegal in the securities markets.

A company's stock is it's legal currency and should be protected as any national currency.

Rule 1 No shorting below the prior day's close.
    Rule 2 Same day settlement.

    Unlimited funds to short.
Unlimited ability to manipulate courtesy of the SEC.
And one wonders why GoldmanSacks never has a loosing day.

Compare the short interest with the pricing action over that period. 2.30 to 2.10 mostly.
Hedge funds/Broker shorts are shaking the trees to cover before the PEA release.

I would think that most 2.50 put sellers would take delivery.
    A buyout over $10 during 2013 would be over a 300% profit.
Why would fund longs sell this stock now?
Gross value per share over $100
Discounted value over $10 (personally I believe more like $18+ )

Imagine trying to cover with a "real uptick rule" using the prior day's close.
Heck, they would have never been able to short this below 4 in the first place.

Read about the need for uptick rule SEC 1938 ruling.

Not much for management to do, drill holes and calculate resource.

Just saying that to date they have proved 106+ dollars gross per share depending on how you calcuilate.

As a real estate land purchase it seems to have good upside, no tenants and any day a buyout offer could multiply the price several times over.

  • If those on Kitco are correct about 3000 gold and 100 silver then $40 plus.

Selling below 2.50 is an education.

Open market purchase of the whole company for less than 375 million is surreal.

    to buy a Canadian miner...

    by geomessenger_2000 Jan 25, 2013 11:28 AM monarch6500 Jan 25, 2013 2:03 PM Flag

This issue will have about 250 million for new investment.
From the last 10k there are about 48 million of convertibles that are able to be put back to the company
after Mar, 15 2013. They would likely keep that amount as segregated monies.

Ryepatch trial is scheduled for Sep 26 2013. Some of this may be scheduled for a possible
settlement merger or whatever. Prudent management would think better save that sorry.

Opening another mine would mean more capex and increasing production into a market that will see strong production overall for the next few year thus level pricing.

I favor them buying large low price assets for long term resource useage.
If those on Kitco are correct about 3000 gold and 100 sliver down the road sometime due to
debt and monitazation then sitting on resource is good, maybe better than near term production.

A completion of purchase of any of their partial interests seems likely.

As a PZG enthusiast 3000/100 would work out to be about to about 37 dollars a share using 15 percent of the resource value in the ground. With it selling below 2.50 and with 150 million shares outstanding that would seem to make it an open market purchase of 375 million.

It has been a good education so far.

    Go ecat ...
