a) Are Capital Controls still in place in Greece? Are 420 Euros per week from pensions, savings, other income all You can get from banks? What if a Greek citizen working abroad sends 1000 Euros to his family. Will they receive it entirely?
At the time which Greece needs so badly money inflows from private parties the banks are shutting down cash from coming in. No cashier checks or money orders are accepted. No Western Union money transfers from abroad to Greece are allowed. These inflows can really help the economy, not the EU loans which end back to the German banks. Twice I tried to send money to help a needy family but it was rejected.
because they own some real bad properties. Especially, the Panorama Mall stinks. They can not lease a store for more than two months. Actually, the mall is a sanctuary for homeless, drunks and drug addicts. Very unsafe place to be.
I have seen people walk into the restroom, take their shoes off throw them in the trash basket and walk away with a brand new pair of shoes unpaid. I have seen winos load a large flat tv in a cart walk out thru the door without paying. Security at the stores is so bad the thieves are selling the stolen stuff out there in the parking lot. Never mind a candy or some sticks of gum. I have seen a 25 lbs dog food on the bottom of the cart and the checker lets it go by without charge. WMT needs to return to free bagging.
