It reminds August 7,2013. Right after earnings it went down 70 cents. Remember they were two huge blocks of November of November 6 puts that have to clear out.
Relax. It will take another couple of quarters to see real earnings. Unless, oil drops to 70.
By the way, what happened to the 2.6 bil they got from the Permian sale?
Bobby boy missed the biggest energy boom of the century. PKD got stock in reverse gear for fifteen years.
PKD, a pioneer in the industry should be over 30 by now. A new CEO will help a lot.
What's your point? I still think ORIG is good for 24 but not for 240.GE the KLEFTIS will not allow that to happen.
Oh! Grow up. Estimates and earnings mean nothing any more. You have a stock like TTWO which earned $2.49 vs a loss in the quarter and the stock drops by two bucks. In the other hand you have stocks like LNKd anf FB which will take 20 years to much ORIG's next years earnings and sell for 250 bucks. Go figure out.
It seems someone wants stupid enough to listen to you. Heavy volume on Jan15 calls of 5. But why?
When you can buy the stock at five. Why throw 25% of an upside move into the recycling basket?
Don't blame the shorts.Oil dropped from 104 to 96.If oil drops below 90, we will be in deep #$%$.
Well it cost 180 million to drill a well at sea(Gulf of Mexico) vs an 8 million offshore USA, but you get monstrous flows for 25 years.
The next cheapest oil rig company sells for 1.07xBook.ORIG's book value with no Goodwill and no intangibles looks squeacky clean.
MT is a real fool. Why by owning 78mil shares it makes automatically the value of ORIG to be worth 14.5 per share? When DRYS brought ORIG public it sold for over 16 and it was much smaller company then. Book value counts when companies are sold.
Someone would love to buy 550000 shares plus at six. Also, there were another 90000 put of six sold a couple weeks earlier.
I'm hoping my bid order of 200 at 6.87goes thru pre market I will follow with more.
Gore is right. You switch to gas and solar or die starting with China.
Juan:I did not like the anemic 1.0% growth of DENN. Luckily I rolled over some money into SD(up 60% since the purchase) and DRYS up 100% in the last two months. But I still eat at Denny's twice every week. Remember, never jump off from a winning horse.
Time will make Agee a liar. I hope so.
to CNBC. whatever it was ,it was worth it. And they say he was a guest. BS!!!
