I have done some rough calculations and came to the conclusion that this could conservatively add about $100 million a year in revenues. I would welcome anyone else s opinion on this.
I don't know how indicative this is of Jcp overall health, but I just got back from the store in Noblesville, Indiana and it was jammed packed. I am not a regular jcp shopper, but I was impressed. Of course they are giving out coupons and greatly discounting the merchandise. It made me think that now might be the time to invest in the stock.
I don't know how much their markets overlap, but Fresh Thyme is very similar to Sprouts as far as the concept goes. And while they aren't publicly traded, they are expanding at an impressive rate. They are Sprouts purest competitor.
It is time for GBX to make a significant increase in their dividend. They could easily double the dividend and they would still be paying less than 25% of their earnings back to the shareholders.
Obviously, there are no guarantees, but in my experience, after a major news item like this, a stock almost always goes higher on the second day. Check out the action on sgyp after the release of their stage 3 results.
Most brokers are idiots. If you want to waste your time listening to a stock broker, you would probably be better off just investing in mutual funds.
Oh yeah, and if you read the latest annual report, Calcamp refers to their M2M technology, which means machine to machine cmmunications.
It was a joke. The people on this message board seem to lack a sense of humor. Oh well, my friend thought it was funny anyway. I just thought I would share.
I have never posted to this board before, so perhaps this is a subject that has already been talked about. Anyway, I was explaining to a friend that Camp helps to facilitate machine to machine communications. Then I said like Skynet in the Terminator movies. Is anyone else concerned that we could be investing in the company that will bring about the destruction of mankind? Just a thought.
