    Taxes on Distributions

From what I'm finding, this is a company that's due (maybe overdue) for crucial maintenance on a amount of assets. Down the line, unitholders face the prospect of lower distrib. yields as this is done, or even if the company elects to invest in new rigs. Capital metrics look manageable for a company this size, even the leveraging, but a disruption somewhere can cause imbalance elsewhere. It's a pretty attractive, but dicey, place to invest just now.

So that was it. Looks to be one of those issues that causes much heat but very little light. Similar to one of our MReit issues deciding to do a Secondary Offering. There's much rending of garments, the pool of shares is diluted for a time, but savvy players scoop up more shares on the dip, and ultimately the event is baked into the earnings, expenses, buying & selling, etc.., and somehow God once again rests on the seventh day.

    Your posts are much appreciated.

Thanks, bobdbus. The currency conversions I read about in the company's website involving the Norwegian Kroner are immaterial, then, to that particular issue. And it's good to read the distributions aren't burdened by UK taxation.
So then, you're pretty well satisfied with this investment?

I've recently been looking at the possibility of investing in Awilco, but I'd like to find how much tax the Norwegian government imposes on the quarterly distributions to foreign investors. I wrote the company through their website contacts but they've been silent on the subject so far.
I'd appreciate guidance in the matter if anyone here would advise me. Also, your evaluations of investments in this company would be most helpful.

Thanks and good luck to all,
