Never in my dreams did I think someone would be giving away so many shares for so cheap. It's like any bad divorce... in a bout of rage, one person gives away too much thinking they are hurting the other... which never turns out that way. This one is going to trial and Hudson has really only hurt themselves.... but thanks as it allowed me to pick up 100,000 shares for under $10K!
What investors forget... this is a Legal Action between parties... there will always be hurdles put up to block, slow, or steer the settlement... right up until it is settled. That's what lawyers do and that's why they get paid so much. If this was the NFL... would anyone expect one team to just walk the field without anything done to stop or slow them? No. and it's the same here.
30% owned by the State (China).... so very deep. VRNG knows soon ZTE will have to bow to International law as it will become a black eye for China. Any hearings in China are suspect because of the 30% stake the government has.
Google this: Staff have been told to pull all inventory and related POS materials from the sales floor and keep them in the backroom safe “until further notice”. The following communication was sent to staff, making it very clear not to sell any more ZMAX units until the carrier and manufacturer have decided what to do next:
I am certain ZTE has teams providing them cost scenarios. Now, with no relief coming from the SDNY... only delays and more penalties, they have exhausted their best options and now face action against them for not adhering to Court terms (selling in regions they were told not to). With bans on selling.. they are losing market share and profits (daily). They tried but failed... now they need to settle or it becomes a thorn between China and the all the Countries that have ruled against them.
This has become a scenario where the vanity of the son (ZTE) has pulled the family into shame and the father (China) has to step in and remedy the situation. This is beyond companies... this now involves Governments of Countries and rules of Law.
