AMBS looks like the call of the year to me - your fellow poster on that board was so right that it would not stay at 10 for long. I'm still waiting, not sure for what!
I mentioned INUV in case it did follow through but just another fakeout, sorry to say, but holding a little not a bad idea. I think erb is the new tulip bulbs, but MJNA just keeps going - going to party like its1999!
a lot can go wrong with a micro bio but they really only need 1 thing to go right to keep it moving up - today's chart just loverly! I'll not post further about it on this board but nice to see something moving toward a new high in this envoirn!
infinite, I think you have found a very interesting co in AMBS. Someone on that board thinks higher or lower fast, but wont stay where it is long. I see his point and will wait a it but thanks for the tip friend.
A reasonable assumption is the parent will soon be bankrupt, and the shares worthless, but do not let that stop you from trying to understand how bankruptcies work with foreign companies with subsidiaries in various countries. The next step that is likely to affect the stock is its complete lack of any value.
100% in 3 months is already going places! You dont see many $50 M cos trading for a dime - kind of unusual. What caused the big move? Are they close to getting approval on something? Those of us who have been around a while are definitely looking for the next Genetech!
I'll try again ed: -99.8% is not something you keep chasing. Follow spd and me over to INUV board and start thinking about growth, earnings, takeout value. Without dramatic news, Velti is a former parrot!
The idea that a fund either started or increased a position seems most likely and I expect you are correct that nothing will be said by co. Reading this chart is like reading Google Maps - all right there. A great last 12 months, a good base at 1.2 formed Aug-Oct, then a breakout, immediately failed, then series of lower highs and lower lows. It would be easy to guess that Fri will fail quickly too, except that vol looks so good. Still, that is really strong overhead resistance and without follow-up news, I;d guess back to 1.20 we will go once more.
good to have you here spd- lots of overhead resistance but someone clearly thinks good news coming. SP went from 3.30 to 62.50 in 12 months a decade ago, so 10% of that equals a great trade. Dimensional Funds owns 50,000 shares and they are pretty clever finding small cap value before an acquirer gives holders a happy buyout premium.
good - as you pointed out that huge move Nov '12 was a fakeout and Ive no idea if this is or not. If no news comes out, there will clearly be profit taking Mon. I generally think Mack on that board is correct and this is a micro that is starting to price in a decent recovery. If you did not know anything else about about INUV, a price/sales ratio of .50 for a growing internet co would catch your eye. We just need to peal back calendar 14 years like we were thinking about earlier, to the good ol bubble days -we'd be talking about getting to 200 instead of 2!
I think the story for CCNI is still intact and has almost come back to an entry point you mentioned .If you want to see how powerful a golden cross of the 50 and 200 day MA can be, draw it here for CCNI, 1 year chart. Same is true for 5 year chart of INUV, the cross being a near perfect predictor of price.
spd, one for you to look at -INUV broke out nicely on huge late Fri vol, and on zero news. One idea is smart money knows something others dont. Chart wants to get past 2 again, and when it does 3 could come fairly fast. I'll enjoy your thoughts on it - I've watched it a long time and it may actually be ready to recover.
Your story is sorta happy and I wish was even happier, but I love stories from that period. I started building a position in Invision late '99, and by March 00, held 9000 shares, basis of 6. Day traders grabbed it one March morn and I was out at 8.75, feeling might fine. Invision struggled next 1.5 years, but airport security turned out to be a not bad place to be in September 2001. I traded it a couple more times and my sad mistake was to not be smart enough to just hold it because couple years later GE got out some petty cash and bought them at $50. So it goes, but man was I happy March of 2000.
Is that ARIA defined as : a striking solo performance (as in a movie)
3 month return +125%, 12 month return -61%, so striking either way - what a trader!
I was partially kidding about MJNA but appreciate the thoughts. I find getting in and out too hard on those. But pretty interesting to watch. I do think you are right that a correction looms near - as opposed to the line in Blazing Saddles: "He said the sheriff is near"!!
Master ride his pig in village parade adorned with Sneaky snakes - thats why him most popular in whole Gay Pride Parade!!
OK spd, tell us what to do with MJNA - $300 M market cap pretty good for a worthless co - should I be the fool dancing or the fool watching others dance?
all I can say is a few months ago a share cost $4 and now you get 100 shares for that - WHAT A DEAL!!! I especially like that you're using retirement money here. If you have any access to the funds of relations, or maybe your church, go all in with that too. Make it memorable big guy!
ed, the important part for you is JUST KEEP BUYING. We all know these new all time lows are a GREAT BUYING OPPORTUNITY. Now is the time for you to show TRUE GRIT!!!
They should list it on the Nigerian exchange as a payback for some of their stuff. Someone reflected recently, how'd ya like do be an actual Nigerian Prince with a really solid idea to market on the internet!
