I agree BMC destroyed itself under the current poor leadership - Build it and they will come. Well it will take alot to bring any of the physicians back. Most hopsitals around BMC have advanced programs and many doctors left due to BS and being told what to do. The ones left and talking of sending patient elsewhere due to poor envirement of BMC and old old equipement. The heart center is a joke. The baby place is a joke, mostly illegals aliens having babies and medicaid is going to lower the rate even more. Bayfront should ob just been torm down and allow the other hospitals to take these few patients. The building is old, obsolete - See the new All childrens hospital, They knew what needed to happen. They did it. BMC well, it is a shell and nothing will happen to change it. The other hospitals are gearing up to battle HMA and the City Cousol is waiting for the chance to take it back and knock it down. The land is worth more than the hsopital is worth. The demise of BMC will not take long. No patients - few patients - goodbye.

Because they bought BMC and will have at least 1 year of losses overall. This hospital is poor people and the city council will make sure it stays that way or else they will revoke their lease. Sucks to owns this looser hospital - No way can they make up for the loses thatr will occur.
