I just decided to sell 10 (1000 shares) LNCO Puts. They are described as such LNCO150117P25@$2.75. The $2.75 is a Credit. So on January 17,2015 if the LNCO PPS is $25 or lower i might be assigned 1000 shares at a price of $22.25 ( $25-$2.75=$22.25). If the PPS is above $25 i pocket the Credit or $2750.00. It seems a safe bet. Phil
I was in the market the whole time in a 401k not knowing how to get out. None of the people in worked with had a clue ,including my manager , on how it worked. Everyone was either in a Fidelity Magellan or the S&P 500. I have learned a little in the last three years and move more comfortable now. The one thing that has most lead to improvement was starting to learn to use Options. The credit goes to Doc Reits who gives ideas and answers question. Proper use of Options help to lessen risk of a big loss. Those will the gambler mentality lose it all fast. Phil
xx368.5, Taking a look at the option prices the market does not see it your way, Best put in a Limit Order before the Nurse sees you have a cell phone :}
I closed out a position FSC May Puts for 67% gain. I expected a 100% decided not to wait for the dust to settle . Hold some short FSC August Puts ,by then we will know what the Russell situation really means.
Spyder, RE:LINE/LNCO. Depends on what you are looking for . The Distribution looks safe enough , but the PPS will probably be flat at best for 2014 due to resent merger issues. Probable Bear attack and being a LLC there are no General Partners to kick butt. I plan to leave the market in May and will pass this time . If it really sinks I would buy some long call for next year. If interested I would buy a small amount after it comes off the bottom. Buy small, layer in and don't rush. I like Linn , KMP, PAA and BBEP on a pull back. Phil
Seem all the MLP on my watch list are down. The market goes up and down constantly without explanation other than investor emotions.
Re: Kinder Morgan(KMP). The best time to buy is usually near the first of the ExMonth. With Probable ExDay of April 29 , around April 1 is the buy time. I bought some after the SPO ,time will tell if that was a good idea. Phil
Sunflower , Perhaps Rich thinks Kinder Morgan is the best investment out there. You sound like a weasel when you try to turn strong insider buying into a negative. Rich
Kinder "walks his talk".
The US has no international partners. The Kommie Kenyen has thrown them all under the rickshaw
Fidelity said the shares in a retail account are considered to be shares held in "Street name for retail" . Institutional Holding on the other hand are shares held by Mutual Funds, Pension Funds and Hedge Funds.
Slick-star, Please inform us who you have contributed to the PSEC and FSC MB,s other than pumper post when in and bash posts when out?
Bozo. Why the new login? Do you wake in the morning and forget what you used yesterday? Respectively Phil
Bloomburg had a good article about BDC and FSC that i read this morning that seemed much higher quality that SteallingAlpha,the street or Slick Vision:) as far as Institutional ownership goes i do know that stock i hold at a Brokerage is in the Brokers name. Shares that a Broker buys for ETF and Mutual Funds are also in the Brokers name. I will send Fidelity a Email and ask.
