Should be handled the same as in the past, the other merging entities may see some big changes. Long term Limited Partners will have there shares exchanged and may have a large unexpected tax bill. Much remains to be seem .
Nokker the investors will set the PPS as the NAV goes down with each ROE Dividend. CFP closed its first day Nov.15,2007 at $16.85 and paid its first Dividend in Dec. 2007 of $0.205. It has consistently devoured it self by paying out more than earnings. A PPS under $5 loses the interest of funds and many investors. The NAV and PPS will continue to go down. Even neophyte investors seem to have caught on.
Some long term MLP owners might be forced to sell and have a unexpected tax bill. I will miss the KMP trades and will stand clear of the merger hype.
I have not seen Samurai One but will look for it. Being a fan of the western movie The Magnificent Seven I stumbled on the old original film on which it was closely based. The Seven Samurai was silent with Japanese subtitles which I did not understand. The characters were near identical in both and a joy to see.
The Premium of a stock is set by the opinion of investors not company officers. PHK is the kiss of death at the first interest rate scare.
Stocks have performed well for me the last two years thanks to the Fed printing press. Presently keeping distance from Bonds and Preferred until interest rates rise and they go on sale. PS this last two weeks have been losers but you can't win them all.
As I was crunching the POST this morning , it seem there acquisition did not pay off immediately and Zaped them. I plan to hold POST at least until next Qt or a big spike. Thanks for the tip. Phil
I wonder if Obama can change a Iraq strategy , take a vacation and do 24-7 fund raisers at the same time? Doubt it ! You are on your own Iraq.
POST has a RSI below 20. I bet over $40 next week. This might have happened so fast "shorty" was late out the gate. I had a small serving of POST for lunch Friday.
CLM and CRF still have life in them and will trade them after the RO settles . But over time when there PPS gets in the $4 range funds and investors lose interest as with CFP..
The Distribution would be taxable as simple income after your Basis went to zero in a taxable account. Example buy a MLP for $30 and receive a annual Distribution of $3. Your Disribution would be taxable in 10 years after Basis hits zero.
The one change for CFP is that it's not worth trading anymore in my opinion. Only a lucky hardworking trader can equal the Dividend as the PPS and NAV degrade with each Return of equity Dividend. Rest in pease former good trader.
Calling all weasels ! Please short your as,s off. Take the children's college fund take a loan on the house and hammer down. After all what could go wrong ?:)
Kel, it seems in retrospect I had a better record in calling Friday market movement in 2013. This year I stopped trying because I don't feel a rhythm. Friday is often a big movement but without reason. Phil
Tulsa as I remember in the first few years of his Presidency the smallest slight on a MB posts was greater with much bile and name calling. Now call him what you will and no one utters a peep. His supporters have now figured out where he is coming from. Phil
Kel, we have a improving economic situation and as long as Putin and Obumbler don't start playing chicken the outlook seems positive. Phil
