Hopefully when Sprint collocates in the RadioShack stores things will be different. #$%$ can the wireless advocates group.
We’ve been rolling out the names of all our speakers for the second annual Code conference and today we are pleased to add four more: Xiaomi’s international head Hugo Barra; Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure; Reddit interim CEO Ellen Pao; and GoPro CEO and founder Nick Woodman.
The speakers already unveiled include Snapchat’s Evan Speigel, Airbnb’s Brian Chesky, Oculus VR’s Brendan Iribe and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers partner Mary Meeker, who will present her lightning-fast annual state of the Internet report. And, of course, Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren will be there to talk about larger political issues.
As usual, the event — held May 26 to 28 in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. — sold out quickly. But, as always, Re/code will be putting up extensive video clips of the interviews immediately and the entire sessions soon after.
Wonder how that went?
@marceloclaure: I am so humbled and honored to have been invited to speak @Recode today. So many people I admired in my early career were on this same stage

Costco / Wireless Advocates*( *Costco 3rd party contractors ) / complaints. Seems to me Costco needs to rethink who they hire to run each wireless Kiosk....

Wow, Costco better get there act together..
Costco verizon $150 rebate X3 NOT RECIEVED
Says they received my rebate forms for 3 Verizon phones I bought $150 each equal $450 cash card...told me would be 12-14 weeks, has been been almost 17 weeks...what gives!!!! Costco this really disappoints me as I have talked to your wireless dept several times over the the last month & a half and alls they say is we cant do anything and it should be in the mail any day... They sure sold it up when they wanted to earn my business there!!!! NOT THE RIGHT WAY TO CONDUCT BUSINESS!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! Scott C.

Wireless Advocates rebate is a SCAM!

Do not purchase your new phone online from Costco. I have been working on this rebate paperwork for 4+ hours now. I was not given a *** (point of sale) store number in my shipment. How can I mail in a "signed customer agreement" when I ordered it online???? I have participated in 3 phone calls to Verizon and Wireless Advocates, and 2 chats - how lovely! Everyone is so friendly and non-helpful at Wireless Advocates. Verizon, on the other hand has given me the store number, which I sent to Wireless Advocates. Of course, that is still invalid, which is why my screen name is now invalidpos :-) I truly hope that no one decides to believe anything they tell you when you purchase your phone at Costco. You will never get your rebate back. You will only work for hours, cutting, taping, copying, and sending your first born, only to receive letters and emails, saying it is still #$%$ INVALID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Less

Super...... The kiosks are run by 3rd party contractors and not sprint employees....
Sprint announced today that it will be expanding its retail partnership with wholesale store chain Costco, bringing its phones and service into 100 additional store locations across the US. Sprint currently operates wireless kiosks inside of 106 Costco locations, which are managed by a third party called Wireless Advocates, and offer a complete range of Sprint's high-end phones and plan offerings.
This third-party group brings better trained professionals versed in the Sprint product portfolio and offerings into the stores to help customers make the right phone choices. The expansion marks a huge partnership between Sprint and Costco, which should be mutually beneficial to both parties.
so many speculating, including Legere and Ergen on what will dish do....all except the ultimate Maverick......Mr Son keeps his cards close to his chest.....watching and waiting......
Charlie Ergen is once again on the outside of consolidation as another telecommunications mogul strikes a deal.
The billionaire’s satellite-TV provider Dish Network Corp. is still flying solo after more than $700 billion in industry deals by rivals in the last three years. Wireless carriers and cable operators are rushing to get bigger and add more services to stay competitive.
In the latest example, Charter Communications Inc., the cable operator backed by John Malone, said Tuesday that it’s buying Time Warner Cable Inc. for more than $75 billion including debt. That’s after Patrick Drahi’s Altice SA announced on May 20 that it agreed to buy smaller provider Suddenlink Communications.
So where does that leave dealmaker Ergen and Dish? Already, Dish lost out on Sprint Corp. and Clearwire Corp. in 2013 after getting outbid. While it was in the mix for DirecTV, AT&T Inc. eventually prevailed last year.
“Their options are starting to look a little bit limited as a lot of companies are pairing up with each other and partnering up to gain scale,” Amy Yong of Macquarie Group Ltd., said in a phone interview. “This raises the level of urgency for Dish to want to do something pretty quickly.”
Ergen got a shot at approaching wireless carrier T-Mobile US Inc. last year when Sprint walked away from talks because of regulatory opposition. Dish, with a market value of $32 billion, is still the company’s most likely buyer, but T-Mobile has has gotten more expensive after surging more than 40 percent this year. It’s not obvious what Dish’s other big takeover options are
Pump,Dump then Downgrade.....part 2;
Sprint (NYSE:S) last year broke off merger talks with T-Mobile after U.S. regulators signaled opposition to a deal combining the Nos. 3 and 4 U.S. wireless carriers. Some observers speculate Sprint and T-Mobile could restart talks after the 2016 presidential election.
"We remind investors that T-Mobile has done two dilutive equity-convert financings over the past 18 months at low prices, with Deutsche Telekom not participating in either offering," added Smithen. "If reported talks with DISH do not result in a deal in the near term, we believe that Deutsche Telekom might choose to take some chips off the table rather than waiting 18 to 24 months for a potential Sprint deal to re-emerge."
-Mobile US (NYSE:TMUS) parent Deutsche Telekom could sell off some of its stake in TMUS, diluting shares, if M&A prospects with Dish Network fade and another buyer doesn't step up, says Macquarie Capital, which downgraded T-Mobile stock to neutral on Wednesday.
T-Mobile stock has shot up on views that Dish Network (NASDAQ:DISH) could bid to acquire the wireless carrier. The satellite TV broadcaster's stock has been sliding since it reported Q1 earnings.
Some analysts question Dish Network's strategy of amassing radio spectrum with no apparent buyers of the airwaves and with no strategic wireless partner to sell mobile video services. Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ) has said it's not interested in buying Dish Network outright and doesn't need its radio spectrum for now.
Deutsche Telekom (OTCPK:DTEGY) last week said it would consider any partner to improve returns for T-Mobile.
"We are downgrading shares of our previous top carrier pick T-Mobile, as the shares have hit our $38 target price," Macquarie analyst Kevin Smithen said in a research report. "We really like T-Mobile's management team and believe that the company is on track to deliver solid subscriber and (cash flow) growth in 2015, and we believe the move in the shares from the $32 to $33 level is driven by recent M&A speculation. However, we have been down this road before with TMUS and recommend that investors take profits at current levels.
"We feel the risk/reward is now fairly balanced, with a potential DISH bid at $41-$42 fully priced into the stock when adjusting for a lengthy regulatory approval process and potentially adverse reaction to Dish Networks' share price on a merger announcement."
CEO Charlie Ergen said on the company's May 11 earnings conference call that T-Mobile remains a potential partner.
FLIP n' Flop
"We're keeping all our options open, and we admire what (CEO John Legere) and his team have done with T-Mobile," Ergen said. "But I don't know whether we'll cross paths or not.
