I think longs who rode it all the way down (like me) want to stay quiet a bit longer on the way up. I like the way management is handling things- under promise and over deliver each quarter is good for shareholders. Been a long trip. gltal
"...we believe Alpha will continue to maintain high cash and revolving liquidity balances (currently estimated to be between $1.5 billion and $2 billion), providing it with strong liquidity to withstand difficult market conditions if the current downturn persists for another year or two."
So shorts dreaming of bankruptcy for ANR, keep on dreaming cause it's not going to happen.
6% interest rate. Company is not going bankrupt anytime soon. glta
Forgot about ng drawdown #s, Current price for ng is $4.41! Should be interesting at 10:30am.Hang in there longs!
Let's not forget this was a $10 stock at beginning of 2013. My opinion for recent run up is value investors may be sniffing around ANR. Book value is a hell of a lot higher than $6.85 and as recent article on Bloomberg pointed out, coal is going to be a leading energy source in other parts of the world for many years to come. Still long and not worried about Al Gore and his minions.
"Rice Energy Inc. filed plans for an initial public offering of as much as $800 million of stock, as the exploration and production company aims to raise funds for debt repayments and other purposes. gltal.
Last Friday ANR took a big dive then rebounded nicely on Monday after Rice deal was announced. Yesterday stock got hammered again and afterwards $250M debenture was announced. Could denizens of the HTF frims bring it back up again today?
