$$$$$$$$$$ BUY or not to BUY $$$$$$$$$$$

Better delete the link you have that from. Nothing more then a generic statement from the Saudi's. There will be no cut now or in the future. All that accomplishes is more rigs here coming on line to compensate. Headlines is all that's good for. And panic short covering. As for now MM's must have a ton of shares at $5.50, which is helping keeping this afloat for now. G.L.

A piece of sky hit me in the head. Triple digit swings mean only one thing. And it ain't going to be pretty. Sad that I covered early and made the mistake of going long. One day long cost me. Shorted today after markets started braking down this afternoon. ($5.02 ) Monday may have been a walk in the park compared to what may happen in the near future. G.L.

Covered my short position in full. If the dollar has in fact topped, or is close to it, good things should be coming! Took a half position today. Waiting for tomorrows rig count before diving in fully. G.L.

    .

Shorted at the open $7.14. IMO nothing has changed, in fact it may be getting a little worst. Traders are attempting to instill hope about supply draw. Not going to work. New rigs already coming on line to compensate. It's a roll of the dice either way, short or long, with this stock. I still feel they will take this down to a retest of 52 week lows. Good luck all! Less "

Difference between you and me is I do not find satisfaction in trying to make suffering longs feel worse then they already may. I have also been on the wrong side of a trade!! Thinking of starting to cover here. Greed kills. It's hard though cuz I still think we may go to the mid 4's at some point if oil continues its slide, which it may given todays data. Rig count this week could also provide more downside this week. We shall see. G.L.

  • Moody's lowered Brazil to one notch above junk. The good news was it is on stable ground one notch above junk. Really? I'd certainly be a buyer. Figure in China kicking Brazil in the nuts again last night and we should be in for one heck of a rally! Third world logic amazes me. Good luck with that!

Do you think last nights move by China figured in this? This is the headline that caught my eye............"China is about to absolutely hammer some of the weakest economies in the world". Brazil leads the list. G.L.

And none of it good! Those "Experts" who are saying China is no big deal should be selling shoes along side Al Bundy. OPEC's report should have slapped traders into reality but the shills are still doing their job. As they did with trying to talk up a mere 200,000 bpd cut by the Saudis. If true supply demand metrics were in play oil would be in the 20's and heading lower and yet here we are at $40+ oil still. So I guess people are still listening to them. Don't be fooled. When the big boys decide to bail the only one's left will be the bag holders. IMO no one no matter what the stock should be long at the moment. Sell, pick a stock and short it. Market correction now more likely then not. G.L.

Your right. For the time being these things you mention will dominate the companies stock price more then likely. For now there is always going to be something negative as it relates to PBR. That is my point. That point is summed up by Credit Sussie quite well. Notice how he makes a point to address the the off's.

"Petrobras' (PBR) 2Q numbers--aside from hefty one-time tax settlements and other payments--were not bad "in theory," Credit Suisse says in a report titled "It's Complicated." But three issues of concern remain for the investment bank. Net debt is still high at $104B; the oil company's "one-time" tax settlements with the government may not be so one-timey after all amid PBR's roughly $30B in tax liabilities and comments from CEO Aldemir Bendine about lingering adjustments; and a "low likelihood of price hikes" alongside a weak real. All this leaves Credit Suisse thinking PBR can still underperform. It's down 4.9% at $6.17".

  • what good reason is there, given the over all global environment , that would justify the buying of stock in oil related companies? The only reason for the draw down in crude is that refineries are producing at near record levels due to higher margins. It's what helping the bottom line of big oil. At some point there's no where left to put it. Great earnings here? Get real! These one off 's will take years to work through which will be hurting the bottom line going forward from here. Failure to bounce on earning reinforces my belief we test 52 week lows and maybe even lower. As scary as it was, I shorted with everything I could muster going into earnings. At some point it gets cheap enough to reverse course. Still a long ways off me thinks. G.L.

    Sentiment: Strong Sell

  • Wow. Typical third world business practices.

  • Twice yesterday it bounced off that level and here we are again. It failed yesterday and me thinks it fails again today. We shall see. G.L.

  • Reuters: Petrobras drags heels on Brazil fuel price policy

Aug 3 2015, 17:58 ET | About: Petrobras - Petroleo Brasil... (PBR) | By: Carl Surran, SA News Editor

Petrobras (NYSE:PBR) has failed to present its board with a promised plan to bring domestic fuel prices in line with world levels, Reuters reports.

The lack of a policy threatens PBR's already-fragile finances and could delay efforts to sell refineries and other assets, according to the report.

The biggest risk of a lack of a price policy could be a revival of fuel price subsidies which caused 60B reais ($17.4B) of fuel sales losses in recent years. G.L.

  • to digest. From Iran........
"Production can increase by 500,000 barrels a day within a week after sanctions end and by 1 million barrels a day within a month following that, state-run Islamic Republic News Agency reported, citing Zanganeh in an interview with state TV. "
Be interesting to see how oil reacts to this and more importantly how PBR reacts. Time to find out whether a bottom is in or not here. Maybe big oil can come up with a sports drink made with all the extra oil there's going to be. G.L.

  • from XOM? Blamed on low oil prices. Should be a blow out quarter here given the price of oil now. Can't wait! G.L.

  • who were trying to start a rally with rumors. Here it is, straight from the horses mouth.

" LONDON (Reuters) - Oil prices fell on Friday as concern over global oversupply intensified after the head of oil producers' cartel OPEC indicated there would be no cuts in production despite a huge global oversupply."
    Nuff said!

this falls to G.S. price target. From my view point there is no real reason this moves higher in the near future. In fact we may fall to a new 52 week low? My regret is that I covered my short position before making some real money..
